I feel like a lot of modern cars seem to be helped by stiffer/thicker sway bars. To get the compliant ride a lot of people want these days in cars I think manufacturers have left these very weak/neutral. They have gotten there sport mode handling enhancements from other changes it seems.

Yes sir...
mainly tightening up rack and steering feel and maybe adjusting the throttle response and transmission...
but in the end, physics doesn't lie. That's a fat bitch and when she shakes her hips, you feel the momentum.

Night and day...
Probably even better with the solid/spherical endlinks but then it would probably not be super compliant also.
I slapped it in last week...also took the exhaust off since I had taken it half off to put the bar in.
Absolutely must have...it killed body roll more than the springs did...and cornering.

about the exhaust, I'm a bit torn...in regular drive mode...I love the stock exhaust, no drone...pretty much quiet (especially with soundaktor fuse pulled ). Also, pedal feel and acceleration
just feels more effortless...like I'm riding on the forefront of compression (if that makes sense). I don't know if it's all aural in nature but with the exhaust on the sound of the car shifting under 2K
rpm feels droney and almost like it's bogging...like you have to give it more gas to make it move. It might be in my head.
In sport mode though, I fucking miss it...the sound of the motor shifting around 3K around town and the sexy ass downshifts...I got a few unsolicited compliments on it around town. Fucking awesome.
Ideally drive mode would sound and drive like stock and sport would sound and drive like awe touring. I looked into cutouts for the stock exhaust but they're expensive and overall untested meaning
the car might sound like raspy dickhole. Fuck all that.
This exhaust is exceptionally easy to install and uninstall so if the mood strikes, I'll throw it back on. I had pulled the 2 rear most sections of the exhaust to make the sway bar install easy so rather than
go through the trouble of refitting and adjusting the mufflers to get the tips to sit right, I figured I'd slap the stock back on for a week and see how I felt.
In other news, front bumper is looking great...headlights have the Osram CBB and fogs are LED to match...grill is RS rep and I'm getting the fog bezels painted gloss black to match it.
I actually like how the factory grill looks but I was too tempted by the reasonably priced RS grill to not give it a shot and now that I've seen it on the car I can't lie...it's fucking gorgeous. I am
absolutely in love with this car. I don't even give a fuck about it being DSG...initially I regretted not pushing for manual but now I don't. The good deal and the color I wanted badly was enough
to make me happy with my choice. There are a lot of instances now that I'm getting older that I realize I actually don't feel like shifting...I mean, if I had manual great...I wouldn't mind doing it but
I enjoy the crisp and fast shifts of the DSG...and as I've mentioned I'm not disciplined enough to shift under 2K with a manual to net me the decent mpg either.
Springs have settled in nicely.
that color in the sun gets me every time

The RS grill is a must have mod. The car is looking great. The height is perfect and those wheels look pretty good on it too.
I feel the same way about the exhaust on my brothers S4. It's very drone-y and I fully understand what you mean about the bogging sensation when shifting in normal modes.
What exhaust did you have?

@civicdrivr AWE Touring...
I didn't toss it...
Okay so it was hard to get fitted properly and the tips were pitted badly so I had to spray paint the inner barrels...
when I contacted AWE they were like sure thing $280 plus shipping. Fuck that... @theMachine came up with
some ebay tips that'll work and look great but I haven't pulled the trigger cause I'm not sure whether or not I'll keep
it. I will agree with @Midnight Mystery about it feeling more smooth just hearing the supercharger whine and
no bogging from the exhaust but I do miss hearing it. I don't know...I'll give it another week because I literally think
I'm sure I'm gonna sell it one minute and then I'll be like fuck it, I'm being a pussy like @Predatorbird said.
When I put it on I had 2 occasions where I was certain I would remove it and I got unsolicited compliments that made
me realize how good it really does sound outside the car.
Look how clean this car is, underneath and all...Florida car!

If you decide to sell it, let me know. My brother really wants the AWE exhaust to replace his (I forget what he has now).
And yes, AWE charges an insane amount for their tips.

I sure will, Morgan...
I can't lie...it sounds fucking awesome...I bet if I had 6MT I would be in love with it because I'd be
revving out a little higher around town and it would be limited 6th gear on the highway which would
be higher. The 7th gear in the DSG keeps the rpms lower...which really isn't a problem...drone isn't
bad, it's just way more noticeable than stock.
AWE touring with the 102 tips is the only way to go without breaking the bank.

I have no idea what's going on because J smokes salts and talk about rando things in his life
But basically...
But basically...
- J installed a sway bar and RS grill
- J removed the exhaust because he's a
pussybitchTobey - J is still trying to convince himself that the DSG is the good choice
- J still regularly looks for 6MT S4s on craigslist
- J plans to install his exhaust on a 6MT S4 when finds a good deal

I like the DSG!
Here we go...that didn't take long...stock is just too quiet after experiences the aural bliss that is the AWE touring...
I've heard that the resonated downpipes would be a good addition, but they are pricey. I'm curious what they sound like
on the car and what it does for the drone down low.
she's actually pretty dirty right now...
