I have now updated to a 2G RL, but that Legend was still one of my favorite cars. Good luck and I can't wait to see all of the updates!
It's definitely a fun car to drive, has a few mods on her already. Lowered 2", SRI, gutted pre-cats, and a 5-speed flywheel (lighter than the stock one). Still feels incredibly slow compared to my cobalt, but of course it's apples to oranges here. I'm definitely never going to sell this car, way too much time and effort into her. Everyone seems to regret selling one. Thanks for the compliments!

And a 6spd to boot! It took Acura to build the 07-08 type s to get my eyes off of those legend coupes. Props on keeping the legend alive!

Finished up a few things over the weekend. Installed some missing trim pieces, installed OEM fog light covers, fixed the frozen rear brakes, and tinted the windows.

Wow, looks great! Can you do black housings on the headlights or is the separate corner a deal breaker? Just seems like it would fit in your red and black scheme well.

Nice,

Few recommendations:

get the OEM front lower grill installed.
Either remove or replace the rear emblem
Install fender well, it makes the car looks cheap when you can see through the fender.
Need new windshield wiper arms.

Already on my list

Problem is that its impossible to find parts for these things. I'm still actively looking though!

The corners are a deal breaker, but there are JDM headlights that are 1pc. If I ever score a pair one day, they will be blacked out

You can't order the grill and fenderwells from Acura or they already stop parts production for the Legend?

Since you are planning to keep the car forever, it makes sense to just buy them new.

Acura no longer makes the parts, unfortunately. Gotta score them from salvage yards, but they rarely have the coupes.

That SUCKS!!! Were the UK Accord coupes actually Legends in 1994? If so, that could be a possible source....

nice work! No matter how much I like my CL, I deep down wish it were a Legend, don't tell my car though, she'd be heart broken.

Damn, that sucks. My CL wiper arms faded and looked like hell so I painted them black again and they looked great for years to come.

Def new emblem

I've done this on probably 4 cars at least over the years. It's a very easy thing to do to make your car look better.

You have no idea how much I miss that car. I actually saw it driving around about a year ago...new owner is treating it like absolute crap. You still rocking the NGM?

Car manufacturers are only required to build/supply parts for 10 years IIUC. That sucks. There seems to be quite a few running around central Texas.

Yeah same here I miss the TL, I parted it out and gave it to my brother for school. I actually have a Camry now.

Don't know how I missed the updates on this back in June, but awesome car! Sure has come a long way since you started. Looking forward to following the rest of your progress.

Hey all, thanks for bumping this thread up. The car has been an awesome daily driver, she sees about 30 miles a day and never misses a beat. Have not done too much to her recently, although I did get new badges for the rear.

Very nice, HockeyMan0920! The Legend you've restored is from back in the ancient past when Honda/Acura was at the very top of it's game. I remember lusting for one of those Legend coupes back in the day.

Although I'm again an Acura owner right now, it's very sad to see what's happened to the brand since the mid 1990's.

Beautiful work! I always loved the Legend Coupe. Was close to buying one way back, but ended up with an Accord Coupe only because I wanted something newer. Looks great!

So I have one of those Kia's with a black roof... but I just felt like pointing out that it's not painted. The black roof is all glass. It's a dual panoramic sunroon/moonroof.

Wow.. Can't believe I still have an account here.. Hockeyman.. Awesome restore job man. Found this thread via a google search since I am looking to redo my car since moving to Georgia and now I have a garage. The harsh winters in NYC certainly took a toll on my rear fenders etc.

Where did you obtain all your trim pieces ? Junk yard or dealership ? I want to replace all the chrome and weather stripping pieces on my car since they look dull and are brittle.

Good work again man..

Thank you for the props. Good luck getting your car back in good shape. I picked up the missing trim pieces from various sellers on acura-legend.org forums. There are usually some nice part-outs going on all the time. It is impossible to find new trim pieces, mine are a bit brlttle as well. Same with weather stripping. Your best bet would be to hunt down a parts car at a salvage yard and swap over. FYI, most of the clips, if not all the clips, will break when removing the chrome trim. I had to use double stick tape for some of it when i installed.

Quick update for everyone. Right now, the next thing on the agenda is completely rebuilding all 4 corners of the suspension. ALL control arms, ALL ball joints, end-links, tie rods, etc...Parts are here just trying to find the time to install. Debating on getting a set of coilovers as well to make the wheel gap even all around. After that gets done, interior will be touched up. Tan carpet/panels will be dyed black (seats already done obviously). Audio after that since a couple speakers are out.

Oh oh! I almost forgot. I scored a set of 1pc JDM headlights a couple weeks ago. Haven't had time to install those yet either. Will be nice to have HIDs too.

Those JDM headlights are gonna look great on there, Blake! Would have loved to see your car during my Dallas trip a couple of weeks ago. Definitely going to set up some time to see it/you during my next visit there. Keep up the great work with the restoration.

Update - Motor decided to give me some problems. Rather than fix it, i'm swapping in the RL 3.5L C35A. I'll have pictures once we get started.
