radar mirror
Hey I just saw this link that someone posted on another forum and it looks interesting so I thought you guys might like it. I know a lot of members install and hard wire radar detectors so this might be a different way of going about that.

$400 for the V1 (which is more than worth the money, btw) and $500 more for the mirror. It's a very clean install for sure and would probably do it if my car were a more high-end one, but knowing I'll probably have my car for another 2-3 years tops, I wouldn't buy it right now. Maybe if/when down the road I get a new car, then yes. It looks awesome.
But if you wanna see a really concealed install with that mirror? "BMW E92 M3 Concealed V1 Install"- http://www.radardetector.net/forums/...1-install.html
Fascinating.

I just have my V1 clipped to the headliner up to the top right of the mirror. Then I have the remote display to the left of the steering wheel. I can push the mute button without having to take my hands off the wheel. I didn't want to sink a bunch of $$ into the install as I only keep my cars about 2 years. Not as fancy as these but functional.
achenator, is your v1 hardwired to anything? if so, which route did you run the wires?
more info on remote display, install, etc.
OP, that mirror radar looks sick, but i can't justify the cost.

^ Remote Display is from V1 directly: https://store.valentine1.com/Store/closeup_20110.asp
Not sure on his install, but I just tucked the wire in the headliner and down the A-Pillar and stuck it under my dash with the fastener they included. Pretty easy to do actually.
