looks good! man the aspec kit blends so nice on nbp!
i'm being lazy but what are your tire and wheel specs? and what is your fender to ground measurement?
Thanks! I had my front bumper repainted and when I added the Aspec, I was really happy with the body shop's color match. NBP is kind of weird, if not mixed right, it can sometimes look really blue and other times look really black depending on the light. It matches really well though!
As for wheels specs, These are the 18x8.5 aspecs with 15mm front spacers and 20mm rear. nothing too special

Mine always have been too. This one already has one scrape, I think I'll have to build ramps if I go any lower.
Had a chance to do some maintenance this weekend, just a couple small things.
First, I noticed my side engine mount was cracked last week while I was rebuilding the PS pump. Visited the dealer, they had it in stock so I picked it up along with a new cabin filter.
Overall it was a very easy swap. I supported the engine with a jack and undid the bolts, the engine mount slid right out without a problem. I noticed that the threads were pretty dirty in the frame rail in one of the bolt holes. The rear bolt and its threads were perfect and clean, while the front one had some sort of rust colored (but not rust) residue inside the threads and on the bolt. I cleaned the bolts and threads up and reinstalled everything, quick and easy.
I didn't realize how bad the mount actually was until I removed the cover. Take a look at the pics!
Torn inside:
Rear threads
Front threads:
All done
Cabin filter new vs old. I noticed the glovebox was missing a screw. Damn lazy dealerships. It was causing a small rattle so I'm glad I found it and put in a new screw
Man your TL-S seems to be in tip-top shape ahaha. Looks so good & its nice to see that all these maintenance things are getting taken care of. I really need to do my motor mounts to, can't tell which one it is from poking around!
LOVE that avatar shot! The NBP really looks great in the fall scenery. Great work on the mount! I really need to do mine too. That side one looks really easy. The front one doesn't seem too bad either. Ill prob leave the rear one lol. How many tranny mounts are there? They hard?

Good progress mayne
Thanks! I always try to go maintanance>mods, but on this car its sort of been the opposite. Luckily it was maintained pretty well before I got it (all by the dealer) but now its time to update a few things since I'm at 105k miles. I still have a short list of other maintenance items, it seems like it never ends!

Thanks! I love NBP when it looks clean! The side one was really easy honestly I just supported the engine with a block of wood and a jack, and after that it was only 3 bolts to remove the mount. The front one I've heard is easy as well, its on my list to replace in the Spring most likely. As for the rear, its by far the hardest AFAIK, I've never replaced one. I hear that on autos they go out more often than on the 6MT though so you may want to check it. When I had my clutch replaced at 125k miles on my last car, the tech told me my rear mount looked fine.
Trans mounts I've never replaced either, although I know of a common one (also on my list to replace) that sits right under the stock air box. Its just about as easy to replace as the side engine mount!

I'm maintenance over mods too but its time I start rolling out the mods, I've had the car almost 6 months and it hasn't really seen any upgrades lmao. I too was lucky my car was maintained by the dealer to the T but as you said there are always things that need attention, as of right now its a lot of small things
I picked up a Yakima roof rack and a pair of bike attachments last week and installed it on the car. Probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I personally love the look of a roof rack on a slammed car. It offers a lot of utility for mounting all kinds of shit up there. I may throw my bike up there from time to time now that I can. To me it makes the car look more aggressive and says "this is my DD, it does everything I need it to."
The car is filthy since the weather hasn't been so great. The one day it was, I came out to wash the car and realized my hose had a major leak so I gave up
about the roof rack, i've always wanted one for winter so i can put snowboards up there but then I looked at the prices and never reconsidered haha
Yeah, I believe mine adds up to about $800 if bought new. I have the Q towers, cross bars, fairings, and two "forklift" bike mounts with locks and everything. I definitely wouldn't be able to swing it or justify $800, but I bought the q towers and bars used and picked up the bike mounts for a good deal used as well!
thanks everyone, its been a busy week!
This lil guy has been taking up almost all of my time. I don't plan on any more mods for a little while, going to have to slow it down since the weather is getting colder and I'm trying to devote more time to Esco (we changed his name )
Damn, i didn't realize it was a limited supply run again. For some reason tracking info says delayed for shipping-next business day as of 12/08. So I'm not sure why its still not "on vehicle for delivery," as its now the 10th. It also says no estimated delivery date.

Ahhhhh. my luck!
it's ok i can one up you:
i ordered some image dynamics components (speakers) and they shipped the day of the order (monday), then they arrived at a local fedex warehouse the next day for delivery. i asked for them to do a pick up hold at a fedex store 1 mile away, and it added 2 days to delivery!! i got it on thursday i was like wtf

Damn!! I am way too impatient to deal with all that. Instant gratification, I want it now!!!
I finally received it to my house this weekend (Saturday) and wasted no time installing it. Cleaned the window, used some adhesion promoter, and threw on the spoiler with some tape over night just for good measure.
I REALLY love how it looks, definitely worth the wait and the price. Its aggressive but not too aggressive, and its not as small or weak as the usual ebay painted ones. I'm glad I resisted the urge to get one of those and waited for the HIC!
I also decided to remove the roof rack for the winter. I loved how it looked on the car, and still do, but I figured I'd remove it now rather than having to deal with it if it snowed or something. I'm also debating on selling it.
The car looks so different; smooth and clean without it!
Couple snapshots before and after below to keep you guys entertained. I really need someone to take some quality photos.
ditch the roof rack for sure dude. Unless your going to get some use out of it, but other than that its pointless.
Guy in my city has a slammed blue genesis, big huge white wheels, really clean, but hes got this silly Yakima rack on the top of it with stickers and shit all over it.. anyways.. not once have I ever seen him anything on it. Just for looks, which IMO if that's why it was purchased was for looks then that's a bad choice...
Your car looks great though. I myself bought the OEMBMWSHOP spoiler in RBP and it looks REALLY good for the price. I like the HIC style but I didn't want to have to pay to strip it and repaint as its only avail in black!
lol I hate to be one of those guys but I love the look of roof racks on cars even though I'd use it maybe once or twice a year even if that...
I'd totally love a roof rack on my TL-S. Q-man your car is looking awe-worthy. Love the OEM+ look
Thanks for the kind words!
Yeah, I honestly have always loved the look of a slammed car with a roof rack. I always wanted one, so I got one finally haha and I like how it looks a lot on the car! I removed it to see the clean lines of the car without it for a while, but I may throw it back on if I get some wheels...a nice set of wheels will make the car look more aggressive and thus the roof rack will look more "fitting."

And q, the pup is awesome man. Growing up my friend had 3 huskies, they are excellent dogs.. But those things shed so damn bad man its outrageous. lol
Yeah, retail on these things is MURDER, I could never come close to that especially not just for aesthetics. I did throw a bike up there just to test it out and see how it looked, and it was pretty cool looking. It was a cheap white mountain bike with black wheels and red accents, I kept thinking, if i paint my wheels white and get red brembos at least the bike will match!
Thanks! I love the little guy. He's growing so fast, already coming up on 12 weeks or so!
Yeah if the rack ain't getting any use, ditch it. Especially since its kind of like the silly scene thing to do now for whatever reason (get a rack for the aesthetics and never use it).
Then there's the flipside like this crazy dude that has had ski racks on a number of Lambos:
(Not gonna lie I'd fap to that Gallardo though ...)
