Quanaman's Accord Love Thread (Accord starts on Pg 18)

Yup! Got about 3k miles on it now (Almost 2 months of ownership). I'm really happy with it. I didn't like the sport just because it didn't seem like that much of an upgrade for me from the TL without the push button start and tech features I wanted. Plus, leather was a must I figure I can make any accord "look" like a sport but can't add features. Got the recall notice for the software update, but my car was unaffected.
I thought the same thing about the sport wheels, but in reality tires would have cost me a ridiculous amount so I'm glad I let them go and made a few bucks.
PLUS! I came across another set, with tires, in mint condition, for a really great deal earlier this week. They're going on the car shortly along with an OEM decklid spoiler I got from HANDA accessories. Still debating whether or not I wanna go with just double sided tape or actually drill into my trunklid.
Other than that, I also picked up OEM window visors which I absolutely love, and some OEM wheel locks (not quite as exciting). The visors look awesome though, I love the design, shape, and the installation was awesome, even easier than the 3g TL.

I got a 2013 accord ex-l v6 after my TL. Its such a nice ride with a lot of great features (turn signal camera is neat). Although after the TL I had to get my headlights retrofitted with S2K projectors and recently got coils and wheels put on it. I could try to get a picture if interested.
Also idk what honda what thinking about when they decided on those wheels. Accord forums suck, i just never signed up on them because they arent good enough to even browse.

Yes. The window visors are a excellent add on. I went with HIC before I even knew about the accord classified page on Facebook. HIC is similar to the Oem ones but half the price and they do what I need them to do for me.
Yes, the accord forums suck. Drive accord is horrible. I just lurk on the 9th gen Accord Facebook page and the classified page.

I got an awesome birthday gift and finally got a chance to use it this weekend. You can see the wheels on the car in the background as well as the window visors The rear decklid spoiler is in and just waiting to go on. I'll probably put it on with double sided tape and not drill holes into my trunklid.
Went with the Chemical Guys Torq Foam cannon, got their wash bucket with lid, debris catcher at the bottom, a couple nice sponges, the Citrus Soap, and the Honeydew for creating mad suds with the Foam cannon. Its so much fun! Pics and quick video beow:

pressure washer works best but most people dont' have that. i have the foam gun that attaches to the garden hose and it works amazing. i highly recommend getting one. also make sure to get a good foaming soap. i use detailer's pro foaming soap. check out autogeek and buy it during one of their many sales.

Thanks guys!
Yup, the foam cannon I got was only for pressure washers. I thought abut getting one for a garden hose, but the consensus seemed to be that you get the most foam and suds from a pressure washer so I went with that since we have one. The garden hose ones are pretty good to i think and Chemical guys makes one which is who I got my cannon from. Check em out!!

Funny you posted this...
I literally just decided I would buy myself an electric power washer just to use for washing cars. The gas powered is too strong and introduces too much water...notice how fast the foam runs off the car instead of sitting and agitating itself.
I have the hose one too, and that's useless...waste of soap.

Hahahahahaha :rofl;
I have a 2400 PSI Gas powered Honda, and it works pretty well. This was a quick wash, so just soap and foam, and then high pressure rinse with the pressure washer. Its getting cold and I'm getting lazy so hand washes will be farther in between these days. Luckily it wasn't very dirty!

Hey everyone,
Not a whole lot to report, but the car was clean and I decided to take some pics. I have a few more parts that are going on soon, but here ya go.
Nothing too exciting. just a basically stock people mover.

I've had a new OEM decklid spoiler sitting for weeks, I actually test fitted it this past weekend. The service manual calls for two holes to be drilled but I'd prefer not to go that route. I test fitted it just to see, and added more double sided tape and installed it that way. I really don't think it'll be going anywhere.
As for roof spoilers, I'm torn. I usually wouldn't put one one unless I have other supporting mods.
Kind of man, but its mostly because of the car I bought. I won't be looking for more power on the accord, its just a daily driver. The most I'll do is get the OEM aero kit and maybe some nice 20" wheels. I did think about dropping it on H&R Springs though..
here are some pics of the spoiler install. I actually forgot I had taken these

Thats the plan!!
Also got the Sport grille and mudguards done but no pics yet. Its raining and shitty here in VA.
This car has so many OEM accessories available. I'm trying to decide between lighted door sills or regular stainless ones.
Also haven't decided on the footwell lighting. (OEM Accessory as well) or the sunroof visor. Wind noise is kind of loud when the sunroof is open....
I ALSO still need to do some clear vinyl on a few areas. Door cups, trunk area, side mirrors maybe....not sure.
Picked up Oil today on my lunch break (0-20) for the car's first oil change. Got to about 6k miles in pretty much exactly 3 months. Its about time for that first change.

Mods, can we get a title change to Quanaman's Accord Love Thread? and move to Car-Talk please?!
Got some updated pics with the sport grille, mudguards, and deck lid spoiler all installed. I'll probably put on the leather bra for the winter soon, just gotta clean the car and wax it again beforehand.
Its beginning to look a lot like a sport model (without the side skirts and dual exhaust ) I think I forgot to mention I debadged the "Accord" off of the back too because I didnt like how it was asymmetrical.
The next few items will be little things like LEDs license plate/reverse bulbs, side sills (still undecided but leaning towards lighted). After that maybe the front and rear aero kit-sideskirts are pretty overpriced at like $400 and they don't change the look much IMO.
