some guy with a Prelude SR-V bone stock said he will smoke my TL with I/H/E at the track, what do you think?

a stock manual SR-V only has 155-160whp, while my TL is close to 200whp with mods

and he said a supercharged TL-S is only doing low 14s for quarter mile, and he said a CL-S auto makes 16.2 @ 87mph...

He's definitely an idiot. Definitely race him and make him see your taillights. BTW, a stock CLS is auto about 14.8 in the 1/4

 

What kind of track? 1/4 mile, hands down you'll win unless you screw up big time.

Road track/Autocross, could be a different story if he can drive

 

Prelude SR-V is a base or an S-H? Just curious

 

it's the 4th gen (93-96 model), top of the line with DOHC VTEC 190hp while the base models didn't have VTEC engine

 

I think u can beat it by 1-2 cars atleast

About the 16.2 in the 1/4 mile: Tell him, yeah that's what it does. Now let me show you how your Prelude does 19 seconds for the 1/4 mile. Let's go race.

 

i never under estimate the DOHC VTEC engine as some of them really rocks with mods, but a stock is not that crazy fast if his skills is average

i got smoked completely by a golf 1.8T GTi with a very good manual driver, but he cheated coz his car is chipped and lied to me, so i had to buy him a drink

Is the 1/4 mile slower in Canada or something for a CL-S to run 16.2?

I have a buddy who ran a 15.0 on a stock VTEC 4th gen. What's your TL-P run? Low 15/high 14?

 

it really depends on the driver if he can drives a stick or not, that can make a whole sec difference


my TL-P has I/H/E, so it should be somehwere at 15 flat or high 14s

i am not in a safe position to say that now....he challenges me to the track for drag race in late september, i might just ask our nearby representative Pure Adrenline to show up and spank them all!!!

i am pretty sure his car can do low 14s with 239whp
