What most of you are forgetting is that I'm looking to lease this, not buy it. The MSRP and cost is NOT the most important factor in this case, but the lease rate and residual is. Both the Mini I just showed you guys and the Golf R both have similar MSRP's, but the residual on the Mini is like 5% higher, which is why the Mini has a much lower payment than the Golf. Keep in mind, I'm also looking to drive something "different"....

There are 3 non-Abarth Fiat 500s at my office. One is a convertible. I've been given a ride in one and it definitely is a novelty type of car. It is #472 (or something like that) of the first 500 imported into the US. Owner plans on paying it off and keeping it. He and his wife ordinarily go through cars in about 18 months each (lease and get out early). Over the past couple of years they have driven:
Ford Escape
BMW 335
BMW X3
TL
G37x
Currently driving : BMW M1 and Fiat 500.

Oh man CTS-V is nice as hell.
Sure the M3 is super nice, so is the C63AMG, hell even the old RS4....But when you see a CTS-V pull up, it seems like it's in a class of its own LOL! Nicest American muscle (considered that?)
EDIT: Oh you chose to go with the mini? Very nice, heard they're fun to drive, and interior pretty solid.

Unfortunately no Vagon, it's too much car for me right now (in more ways than one)...I ordered Intake/Exhaust/Springs, as well as a turbo heat shield and some piping to let the intercooler to throttle body and turbo to intercooler breathe a little better...So you know it's a turbo and intercooled...

We have an 2004 RX330, 2004 MCS (same dark grey as yours) and 2008 535xi that is about to have the warranty expire, so we were looking at getting a small hatchback or sedan replacement for 2 of them, so this was a useful thread for some of the same cars we have looked at.
We would keep our SUV as we need a big car for trips and the dog and baby on the way. I think we should sell the BMW and Mini and get a new or newer Countryman S or GTI 4 door. I liked the GTI, but the wife was not liking it with the plaid seats so it would get expensive to get the autobahn package. Countryman we liked, but it got expensive when you start adding all the options. Nav, Cold weather, bench rear seat, sport etc.
Maybe we need to test out the Veloster Turbo.
Good luck with the new car and lets see some pics when it comes in!

I didn't take delivery yet...I'm waiting for my rep to tell me the car is in. She had to swap it from another dealer, and the car was at the port, so my guess is she'll have it some time next week.

I think my Mini knows she's on her way out...Had to take it in last week to service for a weird creaking noise I was hearing on the driver's side of the engine that I determined to be the engine mounts. Took it in to the dealer, they replaced the passenger's side mount, but the noise is still there. They told me "then it's not the mount". I give up.
The one time I asked my brother to drive my car home for me, he got too close to a deep gutter on the parkway (that can easily be avoided) and bent two wheels. I have a wheel and tire warranty, and they are getting more and more strict. I would normally take it to my friend's shop and he would process the claim for me, but they refused it and forced me to take it in to a MINI dealer to have it looked at, which I was taking it in anyway, so I agreed. They replaced 2 wheels for me. I drive back to work and park the car up. Haven't driven her since last week when I brought her back to my office from service. I walk by the car yesterday, see the right rear wheel flat. Closer inspection, there's a nail in the tire. Not being in the mood to go back again to the dealer (it's a 100 mile round trip from home, about 70 miles from work) to process another tire insurance claim, I just took the car to my friend's shop and had him patch it for free. I'm so done with this car...
