please recommend a good obd-2 code reader

well, i feel like i bought a POS es300, just a few things that are happening.

the check engine light and trac off came on for the 2nd time since i have had the car in less than 2 months. the 1st time they said they replaced an o2 sensor. then the light went off, now it came back on. i am going back to the dealership tomorrow anyway but i would like to have my own code reader since i can't jump the terminals anymore.

the local parts stores say they run about 150 for the avg reader.
so what obd2 would you recommend sto read codes????

when i got it the sunglass case kept opening, i had it in 3 times and it still falls down. i told them that i was gonna tape it shut, and they didnt object to it(they didnt comment).

the auto down for the drivers' window didnt work, they used white lithium grease to get it to work, when the car is warm it works.

i am getting the front strut mounts and strut bearings replaced tomorrow. i am paying for parts and they are paying the labor(big deal) but at least they are getting replaced.

like i said teh rear o2 was replaced.

i LOVE the car but these things are really starting to piss me off

i also replaced the tires, that was only 260 installed, for kuhmos, they are real nice. a cheaper tire but they look good and ride real nice.

but that is something i would have replaced anyway.

i got a good deal so i can deal with minor fixes, and i understand it's a used car, i got it from a benz dealer if anyone is wondering, and they are supposed to be known for their service, i beg to differ

If you happen to have a Palm OS PDA, I've been extremely pleased with my Auterra.

Scangauge is one of the best IMO.

http://www.scangauge.com/

$129.95 including shipping.

Acts as a diagnostic tool, shows digital readouts of MPG consumption, average speed etc etc. And shows many raw engine data information such as intake air temperature, ignition timing etc.

I seem to have most of my problems at 10:00 at night or 7:00 in the morning.
