at least their pretty honest with all the cars, they tell you the bad and the good, and pretty much have the same people driving so it's a pretty good comparison

 

I just saw a C6 on the road tonight for the first time. I didnt even know they were out to purchase yet.

 

IMO for what the vette costs, it can't be beat, and they may be afraid because they have a challenger. Wait til the new Z06 comes out and we'll see what they think. The other thing that bothered me was the fact that they said the new vette is the best America has to offer. Whatever happened to the new Viper, why won't they line up with that??

 

maybe they meant best for the price... but i thought the new vette was supposed to run into the 12s.. so that little drag race they had wasn't really a good comparison

 

Its funny that they say the leaf suspension is vietnamese, when the last gen z06 is know to be an auto x terror. Also the c5r uses leaf suspension and it had to have weight added to it because it was a terror at le mans. I use to like these guys, but other than the ford gt and a couple other cars, they hate american cars. Take a 50 grand vette with the ZL1 suspension, add 10 grand to the LS2 6.0 litre beast by way of heads, cams, ehaust, suspension, turbo, supercharger, or whatever. With 60 grand you can own one of the fastes cars on the road, fastest in a straight line and fast around a track.

 

^ But the interior still sucks...

C6 interior is a big jump up from the C5 but still, too much plastic for a car going up against rivals from across the atlantic...

 

But for the price? I think the new one goes for a base price of 45000, even cheaper than the c5's. and they have the same hp that the c5 z06 had. when that 500hp z06 comes out .. it is going to be a BEAST and probably for a pretty decent price, cheaper than the c5 z06.

 

the interior isn't even that bad, and I have to say my dad's C5 is one of the most comfortable cars I've taken on a road trip, much more comfortable on a long drive then his old s500 or new 745
