hey guys.. thought i would show you guys one of my other cars cause i finally got it back on the road...






it is (was) a 1992 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo.

ive upgraded just about everything on this god-forsaken car, and now have dam near if not more than 500 AWHP on only 19 psi. i will be taking it to a dyno in the near future so i can spout out real numbers.. but for now you will all just have to trust me.

it ran a 12.4 on my old setup that was barely 400 AWHP.

basic performance mods are:
15G turbos
custom coach FMIC
walbro 341 pump
720cc injectors
ls6 maf + maft
stillen DP
borla "cat" back
AEM wideband to keep a hold of it all

cosmetic mods are:
Vertical doors by www.Deftracing.com
99 300GT front end
18x9 black racing pro n1s
275s on all four corners

so yeah..... there it is

 

Nice...reliability issues? I assume so since you just got it back on the road.

Also, I was like...is it a Mitsu or Dodge? Until I saw the description..

In that second pic it looks to be right-hand-drive, yet the last pic is left-hand-drive...whats up with that??

 

haha, good catch.. i did this photo shoot with the owner of deftracing, he made these pis to be wallpapers. he loved that pic, but wanted to flip it so that it could be on a desktop and not have icons all over the car.. haha.

the car is a dodge... technically, but 3000GTs and Stealths are the EXACT same car (save for the front and rear bumpers and rockerpanels. im jus paying homage to the true heart of the beast with the mitsu emblem on the front. plus i like having everyone ask me what kind of car it is.

there are reliability issues when you do cut corners with these cars... ill write up a whole story about this car when i get back from work (shoot, im already late), but now,, the only reason i dont drive this car daily is cause the CL gets better milage, and i work 20 miles away. haha

 

I've always liked the Stealth better then the 3000GT when it comes to styling. Also nice pics.

 

Do you live in Cali? Did you happen to go to Mitsubishi Owner's Day, on the 23rd of last month? There was a big turn out, with quite a few 3000 gt's, evo's, eclipse's, mirage's, n lancer's...

Wow...not bad. I have always liked the general concept behind the 3000GT/Stealth R/T cars, but their reliability issues scared me into not owning one.

 

yeah, i was at MOD 05.. it was a really nice day.

i dont think that reliability becomes an issue until you reach e certain level of performance. the last stealth i had was only bolt ons... went 13.1 at the track, and was my daily driver for a year and a half without any major problems. you just have to know how to take car of it.. its not a honda... they need a bit of special attention.
