mmm always liked the frontiers for smaller trucks.

When my pathfinder bites it...which I hope wont be for a long time, I plan on replacing it with a used crew cab Frontier.

Not for the amount of miles I'm gonna put on it instead of the M. It's gonna be nice to have the truck when the weather gets bad. I'm gonna put a nice stereo in the frontier, so I can have my XM, ipod all integrated. I just couldn't see myself putting 20k a year on an M. I have to park overnight strange places sometimes.

As for the deal, I got it for $32 over invoice minus the $2500 rebate. I got them to throw in the side steps, wheel locks, front bugshield and sunroof visor as they were already on the truck.

You should have bought this in august.

Back then, Nissan was discounting $10 to $12k off the MSRP on all of their trucks and minivan. I bought a Quest s for my mother with $10.2k off MSRP.

Nissan had a $5k hidden rebate on top of regular rebate from July to labor day. You just lost $5k by buying a month late.

Nice...For a truck...

If you use it like a truck, and haul things with it, then good on you for making it a smart choice. Nissan does make a nice truck.

If you only drive to/from work and never haul anything bigger than a briefcase or a box of Wheaties, then you made a bad choice.

You could have went the Subaru route and got AWD and either a wagon or sedan that kicks butt and drives a lot better than a truck.

Yeah, I know. Everything I read said August was the time. I could have gotten that truck under 20k in August according to edmunds. I really wanted to lease, so I could get the cheapest payment possible. I could have leased that truck for $250 a month in Sept., same terms in Oct. , almost $450. I could have gotten a Titan for the same price. I wound up buying.

Didn't really need AWD, I was mainly concerned about ground clearance. For instance, after Hurricane IKE I had to drive on the dirt levee for 8 miles for 3 weeks because the road was covered in water. I did it in my TL, cursing the whole way.

Wow, I'm surprised at this post!! No wait a minute, aren't you the guy who's always talking about how the Camry SE is so much better than the Accord/Maxima/whatever in whatever thread?

For $8k off invoice, nothing can beat that deal. I have no brand loyalty what so ever. Cheaper is always better.

You can't get a decently equipped minivan from Honda or Toyota at $17k.

You bought the right vehicle then. You had a need, and the truck fits the bill. A very nice one at that. Peace.
