I took some more in the shade, that made the trees look cool. I thought the sun coming through was neat

Just have to make the pixel focus on the darkest part of the truck. It will fix things from there The trees are beautiful though and so is the truck.

Took the Runner to the dealership to diagnose the front end grinding that I've been experiencing the last couple of weeks, I was suspecting a bearing or seized caliper since it got worse with braking. Just got a call from the dealer and he said that it was a bearing issue in the front dif, and that it went away when you put the truck into 4WD. He said they had to run around to source some parts and gaskets, but that they were able to get everything replaced under warranty and the truck is done! Hopefully this solves the front end grinding, that shit was driving me insane!

Also swapped the stock wheels back on before going to the dealer so they couldn't say shit about my rims/wheels being the issue

Now put those nice wheels back on.
Glad that got that all covered under warranty for you.

Drives like a brand new truck again! The service manager said that there was a Tech Service Bulletin but not a full recall because a batch of these "Needle Bearings" had some sort of manufacturing issue. Getting it replaced made all the difference in the world!

That is great that it feels like a new truck again. Terrible they haven't made a Tech Bulletin on it and just limit it to a group of VINs.

They did make a Tech Bulletin on it, just not a full recall... At least they knew what to look for and what to check and were able to identify the issue quickly. I was worried they'd tell me I was crazy and give it back without fixing it

I've never had an issue, they even rotated my bronze wheels and tires when I took it in for the oil change, and passed my state inspection with the tail as turn mod and double reverse lights. Just don't want to give them any reason to nitpick.

Snapped a couple pics with the stock wheels back on... The truck just doesn't look the same to me. I'm kicking myself for not painting these before putting them back on the truck. I definitely wish I would have painted them black or bronze. I plan to do this next summer after swapping the bronze rims back on in the spring (No Colts I am not buying separate rims...)

Definitely takes away from the look with the stock-ies back on.

Yeah I am with everyone else on this. They just don't flow. For $795 shipped you can get a set of TRD Pro wheels and center caps. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Toyota-17-Black-TRD-Pro-SEMA-Wheels-Tacoma-4Runner-FJ-Cruiser/183062985308?epid=1537418177&hash=item2a9f677a5c:g :SswAAOSwYDZafHUj:sc:FedExHomeDelivery!28203!US!-1:rk:3:pf:0
You have worked to hard to black out everything else on the 4runner to run silver wheels for 5 months of the year. You need some proper looking wheels for the winter. Although on an SUV with large sidewalls I don't see why not just run the new wheels all year round either.

Trust me, I know how much TRD's cost... I just dropped a grand this morning on something else for the truck, so I won't be buying beater rims when I have a factory set with balanced tires and TPMS all installed, total waste of money to me. Like I said, I will paint them next year, but I'm not prepared to take them back off and paint them now. It is what it is. I won't post pics of the wheels if they bother you that much lol. It's about to get shitty here for the next few months and the roads will be absolute trash, I have no reason to put money into wheels and tires, it's a DD not a show car

Wait... I thought you put the stockies on for the dealer TSB?
Are you actually saying you have winter wheels?
For a truck?
