^^^ Ugghh. No good. All the airbags deployed as well. Hope those folks are okay. One good thing, every time someone from AcuraZine posted pictures of their accident in a 3G, even serious ones, they walked away with relatively minor injuries (at least all the posts in the last 4+ years that I can remember). very safe car.

The guy looks okay (the one with his hands over his head in the second pic). It looks like the guy was probably hit somewhat perpendicular to where he was or he hit something pretty hard with the right front suspension. As far as the other member that was jptl04 and here's the post:

i went to the inpound lot were the car is and snapped some pics check it out.

this is what the ride looked like before

this is it now!

my driver seat got a little tight!!!

air bags to the rescue!!

^ those pics gave me serious chills.

reminds me of when I got rear ended in my RDX by a woman who fell asleep at the wheel. she hit me at 40 or more mph. her Volvo was totaled and $5 grand in damage to the RDX. but i came out with no injuries. not even whip lash.

Ouch. Any idea what happened? At least it looks like the owner is out of the vehicle, standing...

I was about to mention jpTL04. That was an INTENSE accident he survived, broken ribs are minor compared to what would've happened had he been in a car that wasn't as safe as the TL was. Those side curtain airbags saved his life. Just look at how the impact crushed the drivers seat and made the center console explode. Scary shit.

These cars really are amazing when it comes to crash safety. Those door-beams are a real blessing (in my accident, old news now, while I was spinning out of control, it turns out some lady t-boned me, but all i got was a bruise on my side even without side airbags). Glad jptl04 is okay (not sure when that was, I don't lurk in 3G TL), looks like that was quite a hit

To be fair, People who suffered more serious injuries don't jump on AZ and post right away.

Yep, I remember jptl04's accident. I had that in mind when I posted what I did; I was pretty convinced of the general safety of the 3G TL after his thread a couple of years back.

Uh, I don't think I said anything about "right away." I've been around here long enough to see quite a few posts on people's accidents.

Ocean Parkway and W? Dang...reminds me of the other day...last Thursday I believe...I was on Ocean Prkway going south and there was an accident at the corner of OP and another ave...something similar to those pics but closer to the corner. Couldn't really see cuz I was driving but my dad said looked like someone tried to left turn fast between oncoming traffic and failed.

Those side curtain air bags are deployed. I hope it helped that guy survive.

There is no wheel on the front right well...It looks like it was ripped off clean. I didn't go across the street to see the rest of the damage or get any closer than the 2nd pic, I didn't want to look TOO nosy...

To be fair, if you read the post, he was in the hospital for 3 days and then posted the pictures. When you're injured in an accident, what else do you do besides lay around on the computer and watch tv afterwards? Posting pictures on Acurazine isn't hard to do.
