Open track event @ VIR

Anybody planning on going?
Any experience with tracking your car?

I'm very seriously considering this.

That's what everyone says...
I'm a little leary of my OE brakes though. Although, I wouldn't be going like a mad man out there, so I think with a cool down period between sessions they should be alright.

I have tracked at VIR with the M a couple of times this summer and it was a BLAST! It's a must for any car enthusiast.

I should be going with Tommysalamii soon when I get back around Nov-Dec.

This sounds interesting. I'd love to do it but don't really want to get new tires right now....

This is tempting, but I think I'll hold off while I'm still on my stock shocks. They're hurting as it is and I would hate to blow one before next summer

Humm. I have brand brand new (~500miles) Potenzas on my RSX wheels. I'm not sure whether I should use them or my Goodyear Eagle ResponsEdge's on TL-P wheels -- they only have a couple thousand miles on them.

You dont have to drive 110% you can drive 60-70-80%-etc..... You can go all out for a lap then take it easy. You can go out and have a lot of fun and not destroy equipment. If you want most places offer instructors to ride with you. Teach you things, correct lines, braking.

the very least, you should change your brake fluid to a high temp one, since that will be the first thing to heat up quickly.

It's a shame they don't accommodate the bikes like they used to.
