Funny thing was that I was originally shopping for a V wagon back in May 2017, then I bought the house and got the newish 4runner, CTR and IS300 all within a 2 month span around Feb 2018 this year. You have like 2 of the cars I have on my dream car list. Looks great man, used to drool over your TSX build back when I was still in grad school 10 years ago, guess I can drool over the NSX now too.
Thank you. I hope to have a good long build with this car just like the TSX but it will probably be at a much much slower pace than that was built. You have a good looking collection of cars you have there. Having the CTR, FD, IS300, and a 4runner on Volks is nothing to sneeze at. That is a nice collection. Really want to do a 4Runner with Volks on for my girlfriend here in the next year or so.

Didn't see this before we left - but the girlfriend is pretty good at researching breweries and restaurants, so we ate and drank well. Asheville is pretty damn awesome too!

I think I stayed in Asheville for a night earlier this year...it reminded me of Colorado or somewhere out West...a tad Hippie and all, right?

Definitely a hippie town for sure. You are right though it has a very western/Colorado/mountain town feel to it. I love the place so much if I could work my job remote or find a job with the same work schedule/pay and work it remote I would probably move there and get some land outside of town.

I hope maybe one day I can justify the cost of an NSX. It'd be a suitable replacement to a project FD. It's mostly stock but I'd like to do a single build with 500-600 hp. That might be pipe dreams though as I barely have time to wrench on it now a days. The IS300 I got out of nostalgia and because of the low miles I can't get myself to sell it for maybe a V wagon or a Model 3. The 4Runner is as close to a tuner car as I have as far as mods. It'd be close to what you've done on your TSX minus the interior. I actually have a Euro R interior I never installed in my TSX. I was trying to figure the passenger airbag and then before I knew it I traded it in for the CTR.

The 4Runner build is a little crazy with the 6 piston stoptech front bbk and future rotrex in the works. With the V8 and full time 4wd, it gets me everywhere, has space for the dogs, and can tow the track toy if needed. It's what Toyota should have done with the 5th gen TRD pro, have it come with a V8, so thats what I'm trying to do with it...lol

There was a guy that did a full 2nd Gen TSX build basically what I would consider minitruck/old school hot rod style. Had that done to almost everything in the engine bay and suspension arms as well. Absolutely beautiful work. Those will look great on the car. Always impressed with the craftsmanship it takes to do things like that.

You should put TE37s on your V wagon. That's what I would have done if I get one. I might still get one but that money is better spent on an NSX. A V wagon would be redundant with the 4runner in the fleet already. Someone had a white V wagon with black TE37s on an instagram account I remember seeing it online a few times too. They're not on ctsvowners.com though.

The V has retardedly weak offset in conjunction with massive BBK.
In addition to an odd 5x120 bolt pattern...so really unless you were custom ordering, you
probably only think you would be putting TE37 on it...plus, the non concave ones don't look great.

5x120 is the same bolt pattern as the FK8 Type R and BMWs. Plenty of TE37s floating around from M3/M4/M2s and will be with Type R owners off loading them. Wonder where this guy got his though.

Maybe it's just me though but I like TE37s enough that I'd probably put them on trailer if I could find ones that fit lol

I stand corrected...
I guess when I looked for my Vagon I didn't find any readily available and I'm not one to cough up more than $2K for some...
I bought these for my S2000 a few years back for $875...cleaned them up and sold for $1500 a few months later. Loved the look
but they were too weak for the S.

Yeah to get proper concave on the S2K it would either need fender flares or poke like hell. The FD almost has the same problem. I wouldn't want concave where the spokes poked past the rim edge which is what a lot of them do if you're trying to keep the stock body. Wide body makes it so much easier on the FD or S2K. I'd rather though one day find a V wagon or NSX, both are unicorns though. I might have to give up the CTR / FD / IS300 for an NSX and maybe a kidney. Sorry CCC, last time I'll be off topic. Looking forward to your build. I follow your threads both here and on ctsvowners.
