One dog hauler, two commuter cars and one car that i have waited my whole life for.

over a month ago, my wife had had an accident with her car that was not her fault and totaled her 04 tsx. She is doing much better now with just some random neck tightness.

We went through some options in replacing cars. The one we have decided is as follows....

This is the dog hauler. It almost got the ax for a new version.

This is it's only purpose for hauling three dogs.
After our decision we replaced all four tires and exhaust. She rides like new again. She was also made in Japan.

This one was my daily driver and now Mrs. Dallison drives it daily. She misses her 04 tsx as it fit her better and was a little smaller than this one. But she likes the satellite and the rims.
We just had a remote start installed this week.

I decided to buy a beater and i found a 99 accord auto with 157k. I replaced all fluids and brakes. I might need to replace the exhaust at some point before the inspection. It's not loud but sometimes i can smell exhaust when sitting at a light.
The interior is very clean minus the floor mats. The heat is good and so is the a/c.
I also had a remote start put in the car as we both hate to get into a cold car and only have two garage spaces.
It's a four banger and is good, errrr, you know.

The following pics are terrible and the cars are dirty but this is all i have.

The next one is my new baby.

It's an 02 carrera cab 6 speed. It took me a few months to find this one.
The PO replaced the clutch, water pump, front brakes, IMS bearing and the bbs two piece rims were just refinished too.

The front tires are 9 years old and the rear tires and brakes are 50%. The top is also 11 years old, so that'll need to be replaced in a couple years but it's in great shape.

The transporter delivered it this morning at 7:30 am so it's real dirty. It was shipped from Richmond.
i won't be able to wash it until the temp gets above 32 degrees. i don't have the title yet so i can't register it. That doesn't really matter since the roads are shitty here and won't get driven for a month or so.

I'll have to hook up the battery tender to keep it charged up.

The 911 turbo is my dream car, but any 911 will do right now. The next one will be a turbo unless i like driving a n/a better.

I plan on getting a new head unit with navigation at some point. I would like to get a hardtop, but i would have to store it in the house. I don't have any more room in the house.

The headlights have a little yellow, but i'll use the 3m headlight kit to clean them up as i have done with the other cars.

Hell yeah. Nice job, dallison!

How many miles on your new P-car?

I could follow you in buying a cheap beater ultimately.

There are 85 and change on her. She's got the expensive IMS update so no chance of blowing it up from that.

It is very hard tring to find a beater that isn't truly beat.

I loved my boxster but i am going to enjoy the hell out of this one.

And for those who ask why i need four cars? Because i don't have two legged kids.

Excellent! Congrats, once again. I'm looking forward to some warmer weather/clean car pics.

ETA: If someone asks why you NEED four cars, I think you answer - "I have four cars because I can, and that's all that matters."

Congrats! You have made a great choice.
The only thing I didn't like about my 911 (besides the service bills) was the excessive stop-light challenges. But I never lost!!!

I remember my first car and driver magazine that compared the zr1 and the 911 turbo. I always like the finesse and lineage of the 911 being quicker in the turns with less HP over the corvette.
The turbo is a dream car, but the 911 was always on the bucket list. My wife will shoot me if i ever think of selling this thing.

We're the DINKs in our crowd... and proud of it. At one point we were up to 5 cars, but we're now down to 3 (and 5 go-karts plus trailer, but that's
another story )

Anyway, great find! Can't wait to see pics of her all cleaned up. I'm a Porsche guy myself... so looking forward to your ownership tales (and photos)!

I might back it out of the garage tonight and clean it off with some warm water and put it back into the garage. I also need to put the battery tender on it for its nap.

Congrats dallisson! You will love summer with the top down. I suggest you look for an exhaust.

You never forget the first time you own your first 911.

Congrats , my brother has a 2004 996 convertible. Fun car

My brother's neighbor in South Beach had a nice condition 2002 911 hardtop with ~40K miles which I passed on for ~$16K. My brother still things I'm a for passing on it.

He's right. These cars are so much cheaper in the warm climate.

Very nice pick up. I live where they are made and see plenty, but sadly my daughter will use that money to go to school with

Question: The passenger, front quarter panel turn signal lamp. It looks like it is off with the gaps around it not lining up. Is it the picture or did the front get hit? Just looks a bit odd.

I'm going to take the wheels off and look at the wheelwells. The PO put in the cleared corner markers and i don't think he connected things up right. There is some looseness to the front bumper on both sides where it meets up with the blinker.

Quick Reply: One dog hauler, two commuter cars and one car that i have waited my whole life for.
