Which one?!?!

From my avatar, you guys will know that i m currently driving a TSX.

I want a bigger power car. a higher class cars?
(How about, if i want extra power.. add a S/C, Kpro..and stuff. worth it? I don't know.. )

So, i m just wondering.. if you upgrade your car, which one will you choose?
(Lexus.. BMW.. Benz..) And i should be happy if i can get like a BMW 335.. Lexus IS350.. Benz C350. (These are the cars that i MIGHT be able to get. nothing higher)

Or a BMW 328.. Lexus IS 250.. Benz C300.
Or maybe a... ACURA TLLLL?!?!?

I don't think i will throw Infiniti in it, since i drove my boss's M35 for 3 days, and i realized that the gas wise's not that great ehh?

So, Don't start telling me to get like... SKyLine.. C63... M3's.. lol. I will want to! But i don't think i want to be jumping from a 200HP to a 400HP car. (Not yet not yet ..)

And yes, my parents will most probably be paying for it. UNLESS, we finance a car. (parents drop down deposit, i pay monthly payments.)

I don't consider my family THAT RICH.. and my work right now's earning me about $1k/month. (I m basically paying my own gas.. credit card bills.. food.. fun..)

oh well.. you guys get my point i THINK. LoL.

Crossing my fingers hoping not to get replies like.. EARN YOUR OWN $$.. STUPID KID WASTING $$.. lol.

New or used? Price range?

Drive the ones you think you might like.

I'd consider the G35/G37, Cadillac CTS and Audi A4, too, for entry sport-lux. Oh, and used Porsche Boxster-S is less than $25K, although it's smaller.

I would suggest the Audi A4. They just look so much smoother than before. And those headlights are great attention getters.

But dude, can't you just stick with your TSX and give your parents a break? I mean, I'm 22 in college and most of my friends are already jealous of my TSX.

TSX is indeed underpowered, but its fine man...dont get caught up in what you dont have...

anyway, to answer your question: my vote is BMW 330 or 335. both are great cars, 50/50 weight distribution for great handling and with 255HP (330) and 300HP (335), much faster than the TSX but balanced and classy at same time.

BMW is a driver's car, Benz and Lexus are generally just big luxury cars/ big engines for show only IMO...and you said you're looking for power: BMW FTW!

The TSX is such a nice car. I say S/C and all the necessary parts and call it a day. If you re going to make the monthly payments all those cars you mentioned are going to cost about little more than half of your monthy income of $1000. Whatever decision you make good luck bro! BTW, BMW FTW.

Hmmm, not sure about price range tho..

i dont think i will get cadillac..@@ or porsche.. They are nice cars, but seems a little bit too old for my age.

New Audi A4, i keep getting the comment that they will have problems..as in mechanical problems or something like that.

Yeaah, TSX's a nice car. It does have that luxury look and sporty look (if i mod it right)
and yea, lexus..benz.. those have a luxury interior which i like better..

Thanks!

I knew some1's going to tell me that. HaHa.

One of the reason, is that, we'll be selling my sister's camry (which has multiple accidents already). And let her drive my tsx, while i get a new car.

Phew, I thought you were just a spoiled brat taking his parents money with no remorse. But dude, will your sister like all those mods you put on your car? Like all those LEDs you put into your interior?

If you want new, 335i. There is a reason why the G37 is 5k cheaper IMO. A4 is not a performance car but great nonetheless.

If you want used, e39 M5 or E55 AMG which can be had for around 30K these days.

Well.. I m quite sure she's OKAY with the interior lights.. i'll be just changing the suspension / rims back to stock.. and yeaa.. almost all other stuff too.

only mod she will have on my car will be lightings only. probably keep the header and hondata reflash for her too. lol.

258 ft-lb torque is pretty good for a stock 2.0L IMO. A quick reflash ($599) will put you at 323 ft-lb of torque! And you say it's not a performance car?

Are you looking new or used?

You can find real good deals on used 335i c around $30-33k.

This is how I would put it.
335i c > Evo > G37 > A4 > IS250/350 > C300

I was talking stock and no, 258 ft-lb torque and 0-60 in mid 6s are not good enough for a performance car. I can get that from an Accord or a Camry. It's a very nice sedan, but not a performance vehicle in my book.

The quick reflash with 65 ft-lb gain for 600 is pretty impressive but those options (dinan or vishnu that will give you 400hp and 400+ ft-lb torque for a little over a grand) are available for most turbo cars. Just my

The AMGs depreciate like crazy. 07/08 E63s are like 50~60k and 03~06 E55s are between 30 and 40k. Not much mileage and they're usually clean. The repair bills may shoot through the roof though. Just do a quick search on autotrader.

Used EVO IX, EVO X (get it tuned immediately, they are making gains of 89+whp bone stock with just a tune), or BMW 335i. those are really the only ones i'd consider out of what you've listed. the IS series is overpriced for what you get unless you go with the 250, but it's got a pencil sharpener for a motor. the Benz C350 sport is also pretty weak. 335i's make good power, and retarded gains through simple mods. the EVO X's are making unbelievable gains over stock with just a good tune. you can leave it stock otherwise and still add an extra 70-80+whp for $350 (price of a custom tune). good luck with your decision.

New or Used? I guess i'll find out next few days.. since my dad's arriving here in an hour. lol. He's the boss.

For some that stated EVO... Hmm, i don't think i will get that kind of cars tho. EVO/STI and such. Not that i don't like it tho, it's fast!

if i were to go look, i guess i'll start off with... 335 --> IS 350 or FFF!! if i can! lol --> Audi A4 ---> G's. If the price don't go right with my parents (you know, bad economy now), then i'll just continue to drive my cool TSX and somehow make it fast? @@

Btw, do you guys actually think that.. cars like BMW 328 and Lexus IS 250, they are like the same class as TSX.. ?

I like to think so, but most people think that TSX isn't quite there yet.

jumping from used 335i to IS-F, there is huge difference in price... I would say at least $10k difference.

ahhhhhhhh...

i dunno now. probably going to keep my little tsx.

2 reasons:

I was going to BMW today myself and check out the used car price and stuff, but my mum told me not to go, since i can't buy one.
My MUM wants to change, but my DAD doesn't want to (because of $$$ problems)

next, is, i really think about the cost. although my mum will put downpayment for me, which i m guess is around $8K (depends on what value my sis's camry still have), then finance the rest of the money.
I m still somewhat looking around $400 (I THINK).
like what i said, i m earning roughly $1000 now, because i m not taking classes now. but i WILL be taking in the fall. 3 classes. Because of school, i won't be able to work much, then i should be looking around 600-800 a month.
With around $400 payments, and say, $200 gas a month (because of the 40-50 miles drive 3-4 times a week to school.)
I don't really have much for myself! Won't be able to take my gf out for date. LoL. I can't be letting her pay for my shit @@. And HEY! no more modding for me? ...==

Oh well, hope i won the lottery tonight. LOL.

what is the reason why G37 is 5k cheaper? What is the reason why TLS is 5k cheaper?

A well-equiped 335i is well above 45k BEFORE tax and fees... he makes $1000 a month..

Again An E39 M5/ E55 is 30k that is about 650 a month and just the gas cost alone will be over $500 a month for either one of those cars if it is DD.

i would recommend used G35 Coupe, S2000 (assuming your parents are paying for your insurance).

New? not with how much you earn, you will not get anything nicer than TSX unless u want something like SRT4

Here's an idea ... you keep the car you have. Save your money until you have the $$$ to buy your own nice car. Mod your TSX along the way to keep it 'fresh' / new to you.

The Camry get sold and your parents buy your sister a smaller car (ie Civic, Corolla, Mazda3, whatever) that will be cheaper than the car you want to buy. That makes way more sense than passing down your TSX to your sis ... you will cry each time she comes back with another dent / accident.

i m getting close to the idea of giving up getting another car.

orrrrr.... i'll see if the sales guy at the dealership willing to lower his 07 tl-s price down. Then i'll trade in my tsx for that TL? at least, i won't need to pay that much and at least, i m used to acura style. lol.
And also guessing the gas price for a tl-s won't be more than 335....and stuff

anyway, the price for the 07 tl-s has 35000ish miles. they are selling for 32k. @@
is that way too much?

If you want a car with "high proformance" the gas consumption will be much greater then your TSX so unless you settle for Prius or Inslight you must deal with the fact that more HP = more gas $$$.

orrrrr.... i'll see if the sales guy at the dealership willing to lower his 07 tl-s price down.

is that way too much?

even the 335's going to cost me quite a lot on gas.. @@
wish i m rich...

oh well, everyone wishes they are rich. lol.

Not sure why they put it so high tho.

Maybe because they know people's going to keep lowering their price? or because it's white? rare to find? @@

Shop around in your area and try to find similar TL's and comparison shop. You can use other lots lower prices to get your price. Never look too enthusiastic about the car. Then they'll be less likely to budge because you're considered "hooked". They just have to reel you in.
