Old Timer Needs Diagnostic Help
I hope I am posting in an area ok for this kind of question. I have a really old Acura that does not fit into a newer community. Feel free to move or tell me where to repost.
1993 Integra 4 Door Sedan, 4 cylinder, auto, about as generic as can be. I've had it since 2000, Runs and drives like new, no leaks, uses no oil, gets phenomenal MPG (28-36), super clean interior, no rust, just a few hail dents on the hood (2 old ladies owned this car; I'm #2). Recently had to replace ECM. First used one was defective, second used one ran the car major systems fine but threw a transmission controller error and turned out to be a very slightly different model number than represented - it blinked the clock with the turn signals, would not light the shift console light, and would not remember time or radio settings. Third one was new aftermarket, supposedly an exact match.
About a month after installation, the a/m ECU has started blinking the door warning light and clock, and the trunk warning (very dimly). A relay in the box on the driver's side chatters intermittently when this occurs. It only seems to do this with the headlights on, and operating the turn signals can change this behavior temporarily. Car drives and lights all work as expected, except dome light and I haven't checked the bulb on that yet. Door and trunk sensors have never been a problem in the past and everything lines up well. Have not tested clock or radio to see if these memory items are retained. That chattering relay is worrying me because it is new.
Is this blinking a diagnostic code? (Could not find anything matching.) Where should I start troubleshooting? ... don't tell me a new car cuz this one is way too nice and I'm way too poor...
TIA for any ideas.

I can't imagine that an ECU from a car that old would control all those systems... There's probably a short in the system somewhere that's causing the issue, probably unrelated to the ECU if the engine is running fine. The CEL would blink for a code if that's what it was trying to tell you.
I've never owned an Integra though so I could, and probably am, completely wrong. Wait for others to chime in.
