He owns a German car, he won't ridicule you anymore.
I use the heater when it's 50 out and I want to go top down!
Plus, that's a good indication of a big air bubble in your cooling system and that's bad MMMMKAYYY

AZ is on my short list of places to move. Low COL, warm winters, and good food. I can handle the dry heat. Just need to find the right job!

You can pay high cost of living AND make fun of my S4 in person.

I've done that already.

SD is really nice but I can't afford it. Well I can but don't want to, the requirements I'd have for a house there would make me broke.

The last time the engine has been out of my German car was just before they put it in at the factory. :)

I fucking LOVE San Diego. Beautiful city and weather, with much to do. And nice people.

Looked back in December and something like a 750sqft condo was ~$450k near downtown. But hey, that's what 'burbs are for, like here. But the wife and I would move there in a heartbeat. It's near or at the top of our "if we wanted to pick up and move" list.

rockstar143 01-25-2019 12:46 PM

I'll end up in San Diego.
I love it there for the same reasons.

Right now is a bad time to buy ... it's crazy how much housing prices has skyrocketed in the last 3 years.

Downtown is nice but, I like being away from it most of the time

Anywhere Coastal & North County is NICE ... but nowhere near our price range. Check out Encinitas / Cardiff / Carlsbad. I've lived there years ago but never owned

CLtotheTL32 01-28-2019 07:08 AM

Move to NC :)

The Raleigh area is booming right now...houses are being built everywhere. The mountains are 3-4 hours away, and the beach is 2-3 hours away in the opposite direction. Low cost of living compared to most places too. Can't really beat it  Plus we have BBQ :yum:

I'll look into that! I do medical devices so the field is pretty niche in terms of where companies have locations.

The HIGH on Wed is supposed to be -14F. :ugh:

Everyone on Acurazine appears to be moving to NC now :run:'

You have to have a cat to pass inspection but that is about the only smog/exhaust law I know of in NC. If you move over the boarder to SC you don't even have inspection.

:ninja: you don't always need to have a cat in NC either if you know of ways

Do they care what breed cat you have?

NC is great but why the fuck would you want to move to bumfuckville South Carolina? (I've worked in both NC and SC and would take living in NC any day of the week and twice on Sundays). @CLtotheTL32 would agree.

Flipster23 01-28-2019 12:06 PM

Smog law and exhaust law.

then we have fees for everything. Oh California.

I would only live in SC if right over the boarder from NC near Charlotte. You can get some cheaper house, no inspection, and live on the lake there for less than NC. Other than that I fully agree with you. The roads down there are terrible too.

We don't have any inspection here. You can run straight pipes out the back and it would be fine aside from being loud but even then I'm not sure they'd care all that much.

You talking like the Rock HIll area? It didn't look too bad when I drove from CLT airport to Columbia. All except for the shitty officers that kept hiding at the border line with their radar guns... Caught my boss going 90, luckily for me i never got a ticket out there..

I really like the how the spoiler and side strakes complement one another. At that angle, it really drew my eyes to those features.

let them, they don't know any better...

dwb993 03-13-2019 01:32 PM

Soliciting Opinions (this could be fun)

I have a set of AP2v1 wheels that need reconditioning. Laurie says to powdercoat them red. I would likely go a candy apple or something close to the interior color.

I think I would prefer more of a black chrome, but she hates that idea.

There is always just a recondition to the OEM color, as well.

Once I figure out what I'm gonna do, they will have new Michelin PSS tires installed.

Opinions?

rockstar143 03-13-2019 02:53 PM

I think you will grow old...
I also think you will grow tired...
...of a candy ass apple red looking ass wheel because you're classy and not 17 years old.

I don't like a dark wheel...my vote is to refinish in OEM finish or something bright like Porsche Silver (a powdercoat color) and tape off
the machined areas on the oem wheel if they are in good condition and can be buffed back to perfection.

civicdrivr 03-13-2019 02:56 PM

Candy apple red (like the TE37 red) would look nice, but I'm not sure how it would look on the OEM wheels.

Because of that, I'm going with OE refinish.

SamDoe1 03-13-2019 02:57 PM

Red wheels would get old really fast. I'd go either back to OEM or a little darker, gunmetal type color. Either that or black but definitely not red.

rockstar143 03-13-2019 02:57 PM

It would look like you're trying too hard to be hip and cool.
Or like you plastidipped and had enough cash leftover for 10 extra cans of glossifier.
No.
You asked for my opinion (to tell you what to do) and that's what happening.

thoiboi 03-13-2019 06:39 PM

I'd just refinish in OEM if I were in your shoes

cu2wagon 03-13-2019 06:44 PM

I vote candy red. But you need some bold graphics of Athena holding a sword down the side if the car too. Maybe a ridiculously large wing on the back.

thoiboi 03-13-2019 06:56 PM

Seibon CF kit too or too much?

TLDude876 03-13-2019 09:40 PM

Oem or some sort of gunmetal finish

rockstar143 03-14-2019 06:14 AM

OEM.
Each vote counts. Even if same person.

CLtotheTL32 03-14-2019 06:45 AM

OEM. Leave red and other crazy colors for aftermarket wheels.

rockstar143 03-14-2019 06:48 AM

and kids.
