I loved Moonrock too but you almost never see those.
It's for sure darker looking but I can't tell if it's because of metallic vs flat(er) or just because it's actually darker. Moonrock is awesome but super rare.

Mom's S2000 has a completely dead battery and I'm changing it out after work.

I haven't driven an S2000 in nearly a year ... but that'll change tonight.

I'm taking the car off the market now anyway. The weather is now too cold for it to really go anywhere at this point so it's not worth it to keep it up. Will take it to fill the tank this weekend then hook it to the battery tender and let it sleep. Oh and reduce the insurance to comprehensive only.

Ended the year with ~900 miles added on it.

Anyone want to put money on the fact that Tyler is just going to be like, "Sorry mom, the flux capacitor is broken on the S2000 in addition to the battery.. it's totalled, I'm just going to take it off your hands now"

This.

I think I will eventually buy this particular car from my mom - it has a lot of sentimental value so I doubt it's going outside of the family.

It's a bit rough around the edges but nothing I can't handle. 80,000 miles, tad rusty, hail damage on the trunk / hood .. otherwise, mechanically sound.

If you can do S4's engine swap XX times already, i think you could build an S2000 from scratch.

I miss Honda simplicity / worry free maintenance as the miles pack on.

Other than doing a clutch / 1 valve adjustment / brakes at a shop, all I did was fluids / alignment in the 45,000 miles I owned my car and it never skipped a beat.

Still blows my mind I did a autocross day in 100+ degree heat at 165,000 miles and drove another 100 miles home without a single hiccup ...

Yeah ...

Although, I don't see many S2000s making 400+ torque to the wheels at 3600rpm either

I thought about boosting an S2000 but the powerband doesn't interest me what-so-ever - keeping them N/A is best

They are vastly different cars and therefore different experiences, nothing wrong with that. The S2000 with stock power output is fidgety enough, I couldn't imagine one with 400lbft to the wheels...

I think S2000's are meant to be supercharged, right @The Machine

Sure they are, just don't go with the Kraftwerks kit, otherwise you'll sell your S2000, lol.

If i were to get my 3rd S2000... I would leave it stock and when i am getting sick of hearing things with my ear, ITB would be the route i chose if i were to mod it... NA S2000 FTW.

Cams do anything for s2000? I thought ITB was the ultimate NA weapon next to increasing the displacement?

Yeah so you stuff a dead Japanese hooker in each suit case. How does that help you bring parts back?
