The Official Honda S2000 Thread
I'm taking the car off the market now anyway. The weather is now too cold for it to really go anywhere at this point so it's not worth it to keep it up. Will take it to fill the tank this weekend then hook it to the battery tender and let it sleep. Oh and reduce the insurance to comprehensive only.
Ended the year with ~900 miles added on it.
Anyone want to put money on the fact that Tyler is just going to be like, "Sorry mom, the flux capacitor is broken on the S2000 in addition to the battery.. it's totalled, I'm just going to take it off your hands now"
This.
I think I will eventually buy this particular car from my mom - it has a lot of sentimental value so I doubt it's going outside of the family.
It's a bit rough around the edges but nothing I can't handle. 80,000 miles, tad rusty, hail damage on the trunk / hood .. otherwise, mechanically sound.
I miss Honda simplicity / worry free maintenance as the miles pack on.
Other than doing a clutch / 1 valve adjustment / brakes at a shop, all I did was fluids / alignment in the 45,000 miles I owned my car and it never skipped a beat.
Still blows my mind I did a autocross day in 100+ degree heat at 165,000 miles and drove another 100 miles home without a single hiccup ...

They are vastly different cars and therefore different experiences, nothing wrong with that. The S2000 with stock power output is fidgety enough, I couldn't imagine one with 400lbft to the wheels...
I think S2000's are meant to be supercharged, right @The Machine
