You know...I started getting a weird blink with the led and the blink modifry module...pulled the led's from the sidemarkers and signal and no issues since...might leave it that way. there's some beauty in the simplicity of oem on some stuff.

Did the modifry have resistors built in? That or you may need to install a resistor in the turn signal relay to fix hyperblink (same as 3G TL) I figure the climate control don't blink so for steady state applications, LEDs work well.

that's what was odd, when i'd turn the park light on, the right one would start blinking...when if i signaled it stopped. Either way, oem bulbs stopped all that.

Yeah, might be cheaper to do led's on the dash too...and last forever. Just need to find the stock colors.

Sounds like they were wired incorrectly from Modifry. Flipped 2 of the 3 cables

I did a bulb replacement on mine with LEDs. You do not need to remove a bunch of parts. Just drop the steering column a bit and the whole dash will come out. The biggest PITA was figuring out which bulbs and how many you needed.
As with most LEDs, the white one in the Start button blew out rather quickly. I'm not sure how to incorporate a resistor into that location, so I may just go back to a regular bulb.
The other spot you need to be careful is the temperature selector. Remember that red LED + blue tint = black display. Choose your colors carefully.
Hit me up if you have any questions.

I'll be sticking with OEM too, thanks for the post Dave!

So, tracking info suggests my tires should be here Thursday afternoon and I absolutely cannot wait to get them installed. Been waiting for just over a year to ditch these Evo2s.

245/40/17 on an 8" wheel should be interesting - no doubt in my mind that I'll have to pull & roll my front fenders. Rears might need a slight slight roll with 255s, but nothing too serious.

LMAO, even tried to match the font.
No Sammy boy...there are some things I always will want to "upgrade" like suspension to give the height a nice look...and the wheels to give the car a unique appearance, but keeping the car reliable and un-fucked...I'll always try and stay oem on the little electrical shit and whatnot...I learned my lesson from my TL.

My S2000 is gone, but not forgotten. My last night with it, after driving almost 400 miles to New Jersey to pick up my "new to me" NSX:

The dealer I traded wants to swap off my S2000 SSR GT1s for the stock wheels, so I'm shipping the stockers tomorrow and I'm getting the SSRs back. Once I have them back, they will be for sale. Also shipping my stock exhaust to the dealer so car will be all stock except for the radio/amp I installed a while ago.

To avoid hijacking this thread with NSX stuff, my NSX thread is here:

Congrats on the NSX! Sorry to see you leave the S2000 club but you made one of the few possible upgrades. Best luck with the new toy!

Put the car in hibernation today, it was a good year of driving bliss so goodnight S2000, see you in 6 months.

Or actually see you in a few days when I install the battery tender.

Congrats Bob!
what an upgrade, man...

I hear from another NSX owner friend of mine (past S2000 owner) that it's a hell of a car, but he still has a place in his heart for the S2000. I don't see being in a financial position to upgrade like that, so I'll just live vicariously through you.

I have a few small updates coming soon too. I really need to order this Robbins top...I'll have some time at home in the coming weeks so I might as well try my hand at installing it. My repairs are not holding up and i'm leery of adding more stitching to it.

IMO that NFR is a great price for an AP2 with only 17k on the clock in mint condition. He could probably reasonably ask for another 3-5k and likely get it.

As always, if anyone is interested I'd be happy to go take a look for you.

Spent the better half of my afternoon pulling my rear fenders, still need to do the bumper tab relocation tomorrow. Front's don't appear to rub yet, but I am loving this look.

245/40/17 up front on 17x8s
255/40/17s in the rear on 17x9s

Meaty

Yes, I am missing a lug nut. Remember kids, always store your wheel lock key in a special place .. or you'll have to break out the ol' 5/8 socket & hammer method to get them off

I used to have 235 45 17 in the front and it rubbed whenever i hit a dip on the freeway and that was on stock wheels.

So i would assume 245 40 17 will be similar with your setup.

You're exactly right.

It doesn't rub now, but I'll bet a good dip would change that real quick

I'm going to use my day off tomorrow to relocate the bumper's rear tab & roll the fronts.

Once complete, maybe I'll do a quick run down the 94 east (closest roads to driving nirvana)

can you even roll the front fenders? i remember the front was pretty much flat. I think you have the pull it.

My friend had his stock front fender done professionally before. While it did its job but it looked weird.

Took the long long way home from lunch today

Had to deal with a little traffic, but I did manage to get a few clear runs in and I have to say, these tires grip so much better than my Evo V12s.

After each corner, I pushed harder and harder to further familiarize myself with their handling characteristics.

I was waiting for them to let go, but they never did. The only thing that ran out was driver talent, although it's a huge confidence booster on roads like these.

After the fender work I'm happy to report that there's no rubbing! The fronts only required a very small pull & folding back the fender liner tabs.

The RS3s are significantly more grippier than the V12s. Not even close!

You have to be super careful though. It snap oversteers on you, whereas the V12s are very progressive.

And make sure you warm it up before you go crazy on them. Once they are warmed up to the optimal temp.... they are like glue.

Have fun, brother!

I'll have to get back to you on the front offsets but I know my rears are +45.

Now that the fender work is done, I couldn't be happier with how the fitment came out.
