The Official Honda Accord Thread
Do you have the stick or auto I-4 ?
) But
, the 8G EX-L V6 coupe is hot!!
Us 7th gens have a 14mm sway bar stock. We can either get the 17mm or the 20mm rear sway off of the TL. Many choose to go with the 20 because its big, cheap, and appealing, while some go for the 17 because of concerns that the handling of the car can get squirrely. I personally chose the 20 and haven't really had any close calls with the bar, but then again I also drive pretty normal in the turns.
I don't know if any 7th gen has gone for bigger before, other than the Comptech. Doesn't H&R make a 24mm for the TLs?

I'm pretty conservative when it comes to suspension. I have a very mild drop and figured the 17mm would be enough to give me a bit better sway control. I'm not auto-xing or anything so it's just a little upgrade for some fun canyon carving weekend drives.

It took me about an hour to do mine only because my exhaust was in the way of the back bolt on each bracket which made it a total PITA to get the bolts out and back in after switching out the bar and brackets. My exhaust is custom bent so it takes a slightly different route than most. If you have a stock exhaust or even a non-custom catback though it should only take 20 minutes max. The online Honda repair manual I have access to says Honda would charge 0.9 hours labor to replace it, but if you can jack the car up and unbolt stuff, I'd say just DIY.
That's right. We had to wait until 2007 to get the black/black V6 6MT Sedan. (the wrecked one above). It was very rare. When I totalled it we were not able to get another.
Really, thats kind of odd. I have been looking at 7th gens on the internet lately and I was wondering why I was not able to find that color option. It looks like it only comes in the coupe then (03-06). Thanks though.
That's why I went w/ Graphite Pearl... it was the best I could do to have black leather.

I didn't want to touch the front sway, so I opted for the 17mm rear sway which pairs up better with the stock AV6 6MT front sway. If I did do the front sway I'd probably go with the 20mm rear, but I'm pretty conservative when it comes to taking corners anyway so I was just looking for a little improvement over stock.
Thanks SP169. I still can't believe they're that cheap.
@Lxcord: Beautiful. Lightly but tastefully modded. I'm actually thinking about doing a really similar thing with my Accord. tinted headlights, drop, and good choice on wheels?
any engine mods?

I want to drop it an inch more overall, then i can get an alignment, problem is finding a shop with an alignment rack that my car can clear,lol...
