I can see that... especially in a thread of (almost) all flat black cars. However, reason I cannot fully say that is b/c in the real world... they are still pretty rare. he must be talking about the cheap paint jobs. a proper satin black is achieved by using a matting agent in the clear coat. it makes the black look super smooth, just not shiny.
