There's a thread at the page linked below where a poster claims that the flat black rs4 avant is actually not painted flat black and is just vinyl. I don't know if that is true or not.

There's another guy on audizine that had his b7 a4 wrapped in vinyl and I think a lot of people are getting his car mixed up with this one. I saw the thread of his car getting wrapped and there were a lot of things different between his car and this rs4 avant to be the same car.

A gentleman (not with that Avant) but another one who did a vinyl wrap gave the price of $1600 USD to complete it.

I was quoted around 2k for a full vinyl wrap...quality work.

Saw it on a flat black Mini Cooper and seriously couldn't believe it but the door jams and engine bay proved otherwise.

I'd rather get a paint job for a little more.

Around 2k for my CL-S...so 3k sounds right for a larger vehicle with extra set of doors...

Yeah if it were 1k...I would consider it but for 2k...not worth it to me considering it isn't intended to last the car's life.

Usually they use an A8 Calendered Vinyl from what they guy told me.

I'm considering vinyl on the roof to help connect my CF hood and CF trunk (If I go that route)

That was somewhere around $300 for the roof section.

Free plug for this guy I spoke with.
