Z1 was cute, but I always saw it more like a dune buggy / golf cart for some reason (Toy). I love how the 840 or 850 looks, too bad is even less reliable than the weather report.

Recent Aston’s have had a decent interior, but prior ones I thought were gorgeous outside, but the interior had some painfully cheap components wrapped in plush leather.
Also, my perception is that dynamics were average, and for a car that cost that much, underwhelming.
one line that stuck with me was from Mr. Clarkson (I believe this was from the special in Romania) when he was driving a DBS. I’m paraphrasing, but here it goes: Aston Martin has gone through great lengths to make this car as light as possible (lists a few things including a light weight weave for the interior carpeting) and the results speak for themself, [short pause looks at camera] this is by far away the heaviest car here.
So in short, there was some effort, but always lagged behind the market. Anyways, seems like their partnership with Benz and Mr Stroll moved things along, the latest car got good reviews from what I saw.
