The Official Audi Discussion Thread

I got them from the DMV in DC, was in the elevator going up to get a screwdriver from my condo and someone in the elevator with me said, "Why would you get plates that say, 'Dumb Fan'?"
ROFL ... I hadn't even thought of that at the time. Not even on my car yet and they were ruined

So I had to go buy a license plate frame that said, "One Sweet World" up top and "Dave Matthews Band" on the bottom just so people didn't think I was a dumb fan
So, I have a question that might seem fairly stupid. I've filled up the car a couple of times now, and I've noticed that I can't engage the nozzle fully when filling up. The nozzle always shuts off within a second or two if I engage it fully. To fill the gas tank fully, I have to kind of find a balance on the nozzle, between full free flow and a slow dribble.
Anyone else experienced this?

By the way I tested an Avant recently, Prestige/S-line. Car is quite nice, although a bit more hard plastic than I'd want to see. The strange thing is that the steering feels loose and light, especially on center. Surprised to find that on a German car.
I really dont get it.
I am in Munich right now and there are TONS of Audis, wonder why they dont sell this well in America. Cant be reliability issue since the Audi Taxis here have tons of mileage.

Also, in my opinion, when people want a car to showcase they've made it big, or want a luxury car, the first thing the majority think of is bimmer and merc.

Audi has been slowly changing that and I'm confident it will get better in the coming years.
Hmmm, must not have had the sports suspension. Move up the model line and drive an A6 and the plastic goes bye-bye. Much nicer interiors. We were actually shocked how much nicer when we went from the A4 to the A6...

Question for the Audi crowd.
Snaps fiance is looking at getting an 02 TT 1.8t non-quattro cabrio. 52k miles, dealer asking $14,9 .
I inspected and the car looks to be in pretty good condtion, top shows NO sign of wear, and it's very clean.
Anything they should worry about with this car ?
He's been looking for an extended warranty but no luck finding anything.
:looks around, wheres jesal:
Thanks

nice thread! and nice rides in here guys!
being a car enthusiast, i often contemplate what my next car will be as i am simultaneously saving money for it...and i recently came to the conclusion it has to be an AUDI!! AWD for chicago winters while not sacrificing luxury, and subtle but great looks...and not to buy a 3-series which everyone has nowadays (plus IMO BMW ruined their new interiors, and the exterior is bland w/o modifications)

It's gonna either be an Audi TT-S or the NYC Subway for my next ride. Pretty tough decision though.
I talked about this in the $20-35k thread but I'm probably selling my S4.
The question is what to replace it with?
I've considered:
A4 3.2 (sedan or avant 6MT)
R32
FX35
Or do I go cheap like a 2005 Mazda3 (I hate FWD though) that I can pay off in two years and then go get something I'd really want like an A5? I'd be able to cart the dogs in the Mazda (I've had one before) and keep the A5 pristine.
I didn't start a new thread but maybe I should.

R32, may be too much of a shock going from a S4 to a FX35.

I think the B6/B7 size is about perfect for that type of car. Maybe Audi will make the B9 more along the lines of the B6 as they try to lighten the weight.

Ah, I can see why you are confused. John is the friend I am referring to in the post, I know he posts on E90Post/1Addicts quite a lot. He was one of my college house mates actually. :P
But as for my car, really nothing special for now, all the mods I've done on it are cosmetic. But I do plan on chipping it soon with APR's reflash, can't wait for that 333lb/ft of torque. *drool*

, hopefully that one comes out centered.
Currently it's the Jaguar XFR.
