I actually took the reflector mount off my son's bike. I used the bracket with a small piece of aluminum to attach it to the OEM 8500 mount. I'll see if I have any parts left over.

Nice wrap. That's better than the one I got. Sounds like I need to drive to eastern PA for Oakes to do it right.
Nice 2G TL BTW. I still like those ten years after I traded mine in.

I am a member of the Hyundai Think Tank so I got very close to employee pricing + $1500 competitive rebate + $500 for financing with Hyundai.
I did pay about 2k for an extended warranty. Everything on this car is electronic.

Im going out to oakes to get my car done up when ever i get a new one. Your car shines!
Now you just need to smoke the headlight housing and get some clear glass for the projectors. (and let me drive it)

A few members ordered theirs. Waiting to see if the droning issue has been resolved before I pull the trigger.
The RSpec exhaust has two additional resonators that the non-RSpec did not so hopefully this reduces or eliminates the drone.

I would just take it to a shop and have them install two resonators, probably a lot cheaper.

^^^ +1 for vibrant resonators and i would suggest the dynomax mufflers as compared to magnaflow....
the exhaust looks nice, is the only difference in the polish of the exhaust, resonators and tips? If the 'X' merge is the same, I would go with the non Rspec exhaust....but then again, I love a loud exhaust note and a pop crackle pop from the exhaust at downshifts and coasting

I think the resonators should definitely cut the drone then.. how much, idk
You can always be the guinea pig and find out though
If it were me, and I wish it was, I'd try some long barrel dynomax resonators.
Excuse me gents, going to look for a slightly used 5.0

A decent muffler shop should be able to frankenstein them in.. The only thing I'd be concerned about is the mid hanger location.. could probably stretch that out as well.

^^^ not sure how the straights would sound....you need a H/X pipe to equalize the pressure and help in scavenging....also just for the record, X does flow and sound better than a H pipe

You haven't heard a straight piped v8?!
equalizing back pressure and maximizing exhaust velocity is not necessary with that size pipe, especially since it's still running cats. The extra space could be used for resonators as well.

So a guy on the Hyundai board got his Magnaflows installed.
Think I found my new exhaust.
Think I found my new exhaust.
Ok, here's some feedback on the Magnaflow. Took about 2 hours to install. I could not believe the size of the system that came off the car. I will try to get an audio clip up soon however initially the system sounds great. At idle it offers a real nice low rumble. At high speeds you can really feel and hear the growl. Yes, there was slight droning at various parts of my ride. Nothing that I am concerned about. The car is well insulated and it really only occurred so far when traveling on some urban roads around my home where the pace of traffic was slow and steady with no variation of speed. On the highway I did not experience any droning. Also, anytime I refuel the car it always seems to spark some interest primarily due to the looks. Most folks have no idea what the car has under the hood. When I went to refuel with the new exhaust I had a couple different people comment that the car sounded great and you can clearly see it turns some heads. I did not have an opportunity to spend a whole lot of time in and outside the car checking it out as my weekend is pretty busy but I will work on getting something up to share. There is definitely a new attitude with the car and I am very happy with the upgrade. If your looking for an exhaust that is not obnoxious yet clearly makes a statement I would recommend getting it. I ended up paying 868 at hotexhaust.com.
