Installed a catch can this weekend (attached to firewall). Seems to help limit the blow-by that sticks to the back of the exhaust valves.
Replaced the restrictive intake with straight pipe from the TB to the airbox. There is so much noise reduction in the intake tract.
There's no room to pipe a true CAI so this is the next best thing.
Before
Fucking direct injection...
I am planning to walnut blast the S4 very soon...
from what I've read on Audizine they catch can doesn't do much for it
for ours.
Very cool though...hope it keeps you clean!

Some automakers have added additional injectors to wash the backs of the valves. I think maybe the newer Audis have that.
Very nice upgrades. I've been running a catch can on my 5.7 HEMI for years. It's always a nice reassurance it was money well spent when it's oil change time and I empty a 1/2 filled can out.
Have run them on my BMW's for a long time. Boost is especially bad at gunking the back of the valves. Needed the walnut treatment on my 2011 at 27,000 miles. Was my first car to get a can. Had one on the COBRA for awhile but it was not picking up much oil.
Unhooked it & went to open breathers. Left the can on the firewall for just in case.
BTW This is my grandsons Genesis R-Spec coupe another really great car nobody ever heard about. 345BHP-V6 6MT, LSD, Track suspension, 19" wheels, Michelin Pilot Super Sports & Brembo brakes.
Great seats, everytime I see them want to hit the wrecking yards & get a set for the COBRA.

Ha I showed this to my son. He gets his license this year and wants a coupe. He likes yours. Said to get one for him and we could R-spec twins.
Has your annual mileage increased with the TL gone now?
It's actually gone down. Picked THIS up for my son late last year. Now that he drives, my kid ubering has gone down significantly. It's also blocking my garage spot.
