NSX replacement DOA

If the most recent rumors are true and the NSX replacement is indeed dead, is this good or bad for Acura.

I personally am saddened and happy at the same time. Sad because the HSC might have been my M3 replacement, happy because it narrows the field and makes my decisions easier.

The NSX needs (needed) to be taken off life support but I still think Acura/Honda needs a halo.

What are your sources before we start reacting to what could be pure speculation?

Sorry, I forget not everyone reads their auto rags cover to cover the day they get them!

Automobile magazine (newest issue) had about a third of a page, citing insiders saying it was dead. Acura PR has been on the move TODAY saying "committed to the model and will ultimately offer a replacement".

Reading between the lines based on what I have seen in the US and Euro press I am beginning to think this may be accurate. The tidbits coming out left much to be desired, particularly in the horsepower arena where they needed 400hp just to begin to play. Automobile made it sound like they were disheartened and the target they were shooting at was moving faster than expected, again reading between the lines.

Sorry, I would quote the Automobile piece but I am out of town and did't bring it with me.
