BTW, i didn't take time to read the thread, but this is obviously in order to turbocharge the JGTC NSX. Hey, now we can say that Honda technically produces a Turbocharged production car (other than that 1.3L whatever it's called) .

Guys, its just a NSX-R with a wide-body kit plus the same old 3.2L NA V-6. This has been discussed at many NSX sites TWO freaking weeks ago.

And yes, I think the $500k price tag is ridiculous too.

…I can't believe some people would rather have a turbo V6 500HP NSX over a naturally aspirated V12 660HP ENZO.

you'd have to be a few fries short of a happy meal to take the nsx over an enzo

I thought the initial comparison was funny, but the actually most of the humor came from the fact that some people here would actually would take the NSX.

And racing heritage? Come on now. No one has more racing heritage than Ferrari.

The Corvette G5R has dominated all of the races it has entered, but you don't see me taking a Corvette over an Enzo. It's just a silly comparison.

What exotic can it beat? I can't think of one ...

(unless your talking about this modified NSX, which doesn't have any specific specifications to compare with; no track times; no weight; no HP rating...)

The official NSX-RGT spec: http://www.doblog.com/img/u30253/FI1070268_0E.jpg

The word "turbo" can't be found anywhere. The car costs 47,619,048 yen before tax.

Also, the wide-body kit is confirmed to be carbon fiber.

The fanboys are out of control. NO ONE has won more races than Ferrari. They race, to BUILD cars. Look at the new F430 with e-dff. And even the new faces are influenced by F-1.
You can build a Supra to be faster than some Ferraris with no problem, you'd be an idiot to chose the Supra over the Ferrari.

It'l smoke any Aston Martin, BMW, Porsche (under 200k), Ferrari 360 Modena, or MB worth even taking to the track. Keep in mind, I'm talking about the NSX-R. Reliable automotive press videos (Best Motoring, for example), prove this. Actually, in one of the videos, the NSX-R gives up 2nd place to a Gallardo because the driver overheated the car (1st place went to the V12 Murcielago)

I guess the word "exotic" is a pretty loose term. Exotic to me a low prouction hand built vehicle.

Ya, the NSX-R... i'll give it that. You said NSX in your post. I was like :wtf: over.

I thought the NSX-R wasn't street legal though? and the ones I have seen are only 280hp... light and nible around the track like a Lotus Elise.

Street legal in Japan but not in North America. It doesn't even have air bags.

Last time I checked, C32's real output for the R is more like 320hp. 4.3secs for 0-60.

I would like to see it go against a GT2. I agree that on a track it will smoke any Aston Martin (not really track cars), BMW, 360, or MB, but I don't think it will beat a GT2 or GT3 with equal drivers.

Actually, in another Best Motoring video the R completely raped the 996 GT3 in a 5 lap race.

Of course, that is the 996 I am talking about. I would like to see the R vs 997 GT3 one on one.

Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale has posted a much better time on the Nuerburgring track then the NSX-R.

NSX without a doubt!!! Beside, the front end of the later model NSX's look similar to an Enzo.

Best Motoring was the one who got the 7:56 time, yes its not official.

That is one awful site, they got slow-ass stats for both cars. 0-100kph for F360CS is more like 4.1s and 4.4 - 4.5s for NSX-R.

Bottom line I'd put my money on the 360 CS on a track against the NSX-R.

As for exotics the GT2 is under 200K and will handily beat a NSX-r and I also say their is 1 MB that would hand it it's a$$ too, unless it is on a REALLY tight track. BMW hasn't built an exotic since the M1. One excellent comparison would be the S/C Exige, what a battle that would be.

Aston Martin: Yes, they're rare, but I wouldn't say that they're made for racing...

BMW: Since when is BMW exotic?

Porsche: GT2 costs $191,700 MSRP. It's Nurburgring time is 7:46 (beating NSX-R and 360 CS official times AAAAND the unofficial Best Motoring time for the NSX-R).

Ferrari 360: 360 CS > NSX-R has been shown already

Yes, isn't even close. But is 997 GT2 out yet? Since the 997 debut I have heard nothing about the GT2.

No....it will be released after the Turbo. You can still get the 996 version ala Turbo, Turbo S, and GT3.

Vandy, the Exige 400HP would probably kill just about any souped up NSX... At 400HP/294lbs torque on 1874lbs and considering the razor sharp handling of the car, I doubt the NSX-R GT would have a chance (on pretty much any car that is)... Also, the price tag will probably be well under $200K

Check it out

http://www.seriouswheels.com/top-200...port-Exige.htm

Oh one more thing... The Enzo would be my first pic over the NSX...

I still would rather have a S/C'd NSX for both the street and track... overall, probably the best overall balanced car in production today (even after 14 years). With a S/C, it will keep pace with most of the exotics 3 to 4 times its cost

personally i think that the enzo is "ungainly" overpriced car and one of the more uglier ferraris to date. The NSX-GTR (if made) would be rarer and would almost certainly give the enzo a run for its money aruond the track. And at least looks good IMO, in action, compared to the enzo.

Plus it DOES cost less than the enzo!

Looks pretty good in action to me, Topgear review of Enzo with some others included like the F40, Carrera Gt, etc. 107MB, posted the fastest lap time Topgear has.

i was reading on NSXprime that the reason for the NSX-R GT is so that they can like widen the car and do other changes legally for the JGTC/Super GT races and that they priced it that high so that no one would actually buy it but it would qualify as a production car

Enzo for me. Although I would love to have an F40. It's the first Ferrari that I ever remember seeing because there was a ferrari dealership where I used to live in England that I would pass by everyday. Plus it was the first real supercar. That snorkel on the NSX looks pretty garish.

Not 113. 104. So its not that cheap. Dont forget that American dollars arent that superior anymore compared to Euro. I havent seen 104 in years.
