the new wheels (accord coupe)

Well a couple of months ago my wife and I came out of the movie theater on a wednesday night to find her car on cinder blocks with the wheels gone. to make a long story short the insurance company gave us a fair deal and so we ended up getting a set of TLS wheels (the wheels on her car were my wheels). A few days later I found a great deal on some 17" wheels elsewhere. Well we sold the TLS wheels and bought the other set of wheels. These are the wheels she wanted after we started looking but they were too expensive. we ended up finding a new set on ebay and I rolled the dice. Here is what we got:

These are 17" OZ superleggeras with kumho asx all-season tires. These are the wrong size (17x8 with a 40 offset = rubbing bad) but the 17x7 45 offset are on their way. I think the car looks great, even better than mine:

Very nice that it all worked out. I remember you posting about the situation awhile back. The OZ's are hot man, great wheels. Hope you got wheel locks this time

Ouch! Yeah I know....I hear the shit all the time its just niggas is broke these days! I hesitate getting lowered now because depending on some things I may sell the car next year. Not to mention I already rub a little. She on the other hand doesn't want to lower her car.

~1100 for wheels and tires shipped and mounted. The wheels alone are about a $1000-$1100 plus the tires are about $320 ($80 each).

personally for her car I think a tint, drop, OEM spoiler, and some tips would make the accord look hot yet classy (ie not riced out). my car I could do a whole lot more (drop, spoiler, exhaust, new bumpers, new hood, pullies, etc).

For the TL, spend the extra money and get a set of Teins....you'll be very happy. For the accord, a set of pro-kits and koni adjustables or kyb agx should be fine. IMHO, these would be the best set ups for a little lowering, yet maintain that comfortable ride.

Car looks good Fred I'll leave the ride height out to pasture, since it has been beaten to death here
