Hello, I am new to the TL family with a used 04 Acura TL. It is still under factory warranty but the closest dealer is 3 hours away so I was hoping to ask a few questions here.

When I take off my gas cap there is no where to put it and it just hangs by a chord. Is there a part missing that should hold my cap to the cover?

There are numerous buttons that are lunimated so I am surprised to see that some of my buttons are not: The following controls do not light up, should they, and is it a fuse or are the lights just not working?
Cruise mode button lights up but the accel, decel, or cancel buttons do not. The passenger seat heater button does not but the driver side does, and the hazard light does not light up. Is this normal?

It also does not have a front passenger license plate bracket. Do I need to disconnect the battery so it does not affect the air bag sensor? Is there an easy way to install it?

Do you have a recommended schedule time or do you just wait for the car to tell you?

theres a little ball at the end of your gas cap, ball hangs on a hook on the gas door.

passenger heater should light up. not sure of the others without checking.

I would call the dealer up and ask. license bracket has nothing to do with airbag sensor. there should be 2 discs on the front you can remove with a screwdriver where the license bracket mounts.

I go by the car maintenance minder, but you might want to get yours checked out regardless.
