i will take some interior pics tommrow i plan on having it dynoed soon. it not going to be worth it but i need to know the hp even before its broken in. the guys at the shop are curious also. a guy on TL site showed a dyno eith 6600 mile sand it pulled a 230whp and that at sae so its making 270 at the crank. i still think they make more it pulls do damn hard compared to a cl-6

i test drove a tl and it didnt feel quicker than my car was stock, but the one i drove ad 40 miles and the guy at the dealer says they get noticable quicker past 1000 miles

he is right i just hit 600 miles and man its starting to wake up from when i first picked it up. did you drive a 6speed? if so did you feel those killer brakes. if you drove an auto i believe the cls is faster i know mine cl would of walked it

I have driven 2 TL-6's and they seemed nearly identcal to my CL-S6 in terms of acceleration. Remember that they also weigh, what 50lbs more than a CL-S6, so some of that 10hp is negated.

And yes he pulled 230whp with a stock TL-6, but it was on a Dynapack which does not take into account hp losses from the wheels & tires because the number is taken from the hub.

could be did you take the vsa off it makes a big difference bro every time i hit the gas it spins. third gear mine starts spinning and vsa kicks in no joke bro.... i am chirping third with this thing believe me bro i know the cl-6 runs well

I'll try to translate. Yes I tuned off the VSA, I know that traction control systems limit acceleration especially if the tires are spinning. And I have chirped 3rd numerous times, even have one on tape I believe.

Dont get me wrong, I know it's quick. I just think that alot of previous 5AT TL-S drivers are now buying the 6 speed and they think it's ungodly fast, when in fact it really wont be significantly faster than the CL-S6. Alot of the good track times may also be due to the extra grip from the wider/softer tires that the TL-6 has over the CL-S6.

that would be me..... and yes i was surprised i couldn't pull it in third gear. i thought it was a 6spd until we resumed our race from
85mph+. but the tl didn't stand a chance in 4th gear.
to give you an idea on how fast the 04' tl is i can post a video of me and my wife racing at the street legal drags at california speedway. you will see how fast i pulled away from her 03' tl-s from the gate. i put at least 6 cars on her through the 1/4. although this may not be a fair indication it might be fun to watch.
to her defense she didn't turn off her vsa and she left it in d5.
but she did have a faster reaction time.sleep:
i don't think i could have put 6 cars on an 04' tl auto or stick.
i would be lucky to beat it at all.....
