I was out driving a couple of weeks ago and saw one of those roadside radar machines the police put on the side of the road to get drivers to slow down. It's showing these different speeds and then I notice my radar is not going off! I was thinking about why on my way to work but couldn't think of anything. Anyways, I had forgotten about it until yesterday when it happened again. The first radar was in Cranston, RI and the other on Rt. 4 by Exeter so I doubt it's the same machine.

I have a Valentine One - purchased in May '04. I know they had an upgrade but can't recall if it's before or after I got mine. Is there some sort of new radar or is there something wrong with mine (outdated)? I've encountered police cars on patrol before and after both instances so I know my detector works. Anyone else run into this????

My Cobra radar detector goes nuts when it sees those things. I believe most of them are set up for K or Ka band.
