Lexus makes it look like they invented it....

Here's the video:
Lexus

BMW

IMO, BMW's system is more advanced... you don't have to "aim" the car.

They did. That auto parking feature has been available in the Japanese Prius for a good 2 -3 years now (and probably a reason why it's not superior to the newer system on the BMW). That BMW video shows a new 5-Series, so my guess is the BMW system came after Toyota's.

well that doesn't make a lotta sense now... if that's true, Toyota is 3 years into the game.. while BMW is on their first. So, why does BMW's system do it better. (In the LS the driver has to perform the final parking step of aligning the car in the space. In the BMW, the driver don't do sheit.)

Advantage: BMW

Ok now before all you Lexii pplz get all mad, realize I am just speaking from what I saw in the video - perhaps the Lexus system has options that you can set that truly make the car park 100% by itself.

When did this come as an option on the 5 series? I'm pretty positive that Lexus has had this feature before, just didn't advertise it years ahead of time like BMW. Like someone said, the Prius has had it for a while now, in their production vehicle - not a prototype.

As if the Lexus system isn't already for lazy people, now you want the car allingning itself too?

Ultimate driving machine, or "ultimate being driven machine?"

Btw, there are already about 8 LS460 threads floating around.
