The looks still haven't caught on for me.
I find the back a little too ugly, but I have felt that way each time Jeep has changed the design, till it took a few months to settle in.
The interior though is amazing...but you have to get the Navi with it, otherwise it looks too plane. IMO
That might be my next car as well. Although I'm still partial to buying the 2003 Overland like my moms.
we have had Jeeps since the late 80s...I have always been in love with them.
You can beat the shit out of them, great off road, good looks, and powerful. And at around $40K not that bad priced.

I think that's what my friend's mom just got - pretty nice. This video isn't much of a surprise though - TTs are famously underpowered and the 325 isn't all that fast either. The Jeeps have tons of torque. This little commercial failed to point out the gas mileage though, or the fact that two of the vehicles can take turns without feeling like they're going to flip.

But the general public sees a Bimmer and a TT and that attracts them
They should have done it against the Base Cayanne, MDX, and some other SUV in the 40K range. It would have destroyed all of them
and gas, come on...they'll fine more. Bush is our president
edit: Jeep's MPG has gotten a lot better. My 5.9 V8 in 1998 got about 12mpg when my dad drove and about 10 the way I drove it. The current 4.7 High Output overland gets about 15-16mpg...the new 4.7 is suppose to get about 17 and the 5.7 Hemi around 15-16. That's not as bad as it once was.

I drove a late model Cherokee (not a Grand) up to Maine this weekend and, while I like it for what it is, I would never consider getting one. The thing felt like it was in 4wd at all times - like the transmission was packed with sand or something. Just really loud and not smooth at all. That said, I've driven quite a few GCs and they seem nice and all, just cheaply made.

the new ones are suppose to be as quiet as the Jag S-type

Everytime I see the commercial for the comparo, to me it doesn't make any sense. I guess what they are trying to do is say that the new Jeep can keep up with a sports coupe and a popular sedan. Throw an M5 and a Cayenne turbo in and I bet the marketing execs smile would look more like

gotta compare price ranges
Throw $15K into a jeep and they will be just as good.

this is still the car I want right here...
If I could find one with only about 15K miles and a 2003
I would install the Navi and screen
Also it would need a skid plate, running boards and a big Brush Guard in the front.
and buy that in a second. Save myself a ton of money.
$25K for car then $3K in crap for it.

I just found out it is 172ft which is 4 feet worse than the Jeep's 168ft.
