R34 ... always will be something to dream about ... will have to wait until 2014 to import to Canada ... maybe it'll be around the time the 2nd gen NSX will be out.

Going back on topic, I have the urge to buy a new car every so often. This past summer when C$1 = US$1.10 ... I *so* wanted to import a 2002+ NSX but I got vetoed by the wife.

But I guess a G37S in a couple months will be a reality. So that means I lasted almost 7 years with the TL-S.

I get the urge every year. Year before last, my object of lust was the M35x (which I didn't act on). Last year, my RL (acted on). This year, the Caddy CTS. Going to hold on the RL as long as I can.

Don't ask me why but I want a 2001 740I sport. I'm considering a M5 (previous bodystyle of course) but I don't want to have to deal with driving stick through traffic everyday.

Still liking the CL
Paid off for almost 2 years
I like no car payment
I'm a coupe only guy
There are no "must have", "affordable" coupes out right now (at least not for me)
Have a motorcycle for thrills
I'd consider a paint job, new wheels and a BBK first

That is a great car.BMWs design at their greatest time...smooth classy and racy, just like the one in Transporter.. My dad drove one for two years in 01-02. .

The urge is returning as I type this, maybe out of necessity. Get a smaller payment to free up some income to buy a condo.

My urge is every time I see something nice.......

Reality is that I am about to jump on a Legacy GT in the next 1 to 4 months, so this car (my 99 Saber/TL) will have been the shortest time with me, about 4 years. I had a Chrysler LHS for 7 years, and a Volvo V70 for 5. And I pay cash for the cars, hence nothing brand new.

It's better to swing no payments, (or 0 percent interest) if you can. It leaves more money for other things.....

this happens all the time to me....fortunately im dealing with very cheap cars

in 2007 i have owned a 93 mercury grand marquis, 95 acura legend, 91 honda accord, 90 infiniti m30, and i bought a 93 infiniti g20 a few weeks ago....and i dont even have a valid drivers license.

in a month im going to buy something newer, because i finally get my license back (hopefully)

i cruise craigslist every night just looking at cars....current cars on my wish list are in the 7-15k range and include:

98+ Lexus Gs300, g3400, Ls400, es300
98+ infiniti i35
2003-06 honda accord
98+ mercury grand marquis

and ive been having thoughts about reliving my past and getting a TL type- S. Im also really like the 97+ acura RLs....theres so many frickin cars out there...I WANT EM ALL!!

Damn, I usually get this urge every year. I've had 5 different cars in the last 4 years, but with this one I haven't really had that urge at all. I actually like it!

a lot depends on how my current rides are running plus "deals". i mean i love new cars BUT payments and paying for it sucks. unless the dealership willing to sell close or at invoice.

So you're driving without a license. Which means without insurance.

You know what, you're right. And I'm the one should be worried, I'm around the East Bay Area.... sorta.

Knowing most people too.... if they get into an accident without insurance, they'll just run.... I'll be the first to run them down or at least get a plate number. Suspended license for DUI + hit-and-run = better learn how to clench your asshole, asshole.

I have the urge for a new car too, problem is I want all the creature comforts of the TL and can't find the same options/power on a car similarly priced.
