New car time!

Well, its coming up on three years and my lease will be up soon on the G. Trying to find something cheaper this time round without losing too much in the trade. Here's my list of possibilities so far (all over the map I know):

NEW
Kia Optima SX
Hyundai Sonata 2.0T
Hyundai Genesis (sedan or coupe)
Hyundai Veloster Turbo
Buick Regal GS
Ford Mustang GT

USED
2009 BMW 335i
2009 BMW M3 (I wish)
2009 Cadillac CTS-V (not likely)
2008 Audi S5/A5 (again probably not)

In all honesty I will probably end up with the Optima SX. Hard to argue with its value and I love the looks. Any other ideas out there guys???

Ford Fusion if you are looking for a sedan.

Otherwise get the Mustang

I really like my '09 335, but it's not clear what it is you want in a car. If you want fastest in a straight line, Mustang is the hands down winner. If you want a little more balance between performance and quality of interior and ride, there are others on the list that would be better.

What are you looking for in you next car. I can't tell from your list. If you are asking a WWYD question, I'd say...

NEW
Kia Optima SX - meh
Hyundai Sonata 2.0T - meh
Hyundai Genesis (sedan or coupe) - yes for the coupe
Hyundai Veloster Turbo - no, too slow
Buick Regal GS - yes, is this really cheaper though? I like these.
Ford Mustang GT - yes, can't go wrong here

USED
2009 BMW 335i - no, have you ever owned a used Bimmer?
2009 BMW M3 (I wish) - ^^, especially one that has been manhandled?
2009 Cadillac CTS-V (not likely) - too expensive, even used
2008 Audi S5/A5 (again probably not) too expensive too

So let's see:
Hyundai Genesis (sedan or coupe) - yes for the coupe
Buick Regal GS - yes, is this really cheaper though? I like these.
Ford Mustang GT - yes, can't go wrong here

Out of those 3??
Gen coupe - Reason - Bang for buck, and high probability that you may be able to get one for less than the other 2.

Really??? I do like the BRZ...

I would love to get the Mustang but its pretty expensive too and I really should get a 4 door with my 2yo daughter and all. Optima SX is probably it guys (unless the new Accord is really nice)...

Optima get my vote (I need 4 doors)
I prefer it's looks over the Sonata.

But, I'd lean more toward the '13 Accord. Sport 6MT or Touring V6 depending on budget.

If 4-door grocery-go-getter is the way you're headed, I think the new Accord is a better answer than the Optima. The Optima is a much nicer looking car, but I think you'll find the fit and finish of the new Accord to be substantially better.

I do like the new Accord but Honda's are expensive. Can't seem to find an option for the V6 and a stick on the Honda site either?

*EDIT - 6-speed in coupe only. Answered my own question...

You can get the 4-cyl with a manual on the Accord. Sport model, for example, you could have that setup.

Trying to cheapen my $650/mo car payment. Would like $400-$500/mo tops so I guess no more than $30k or so...

New Accord looks really nice! Priced about the same as Mustang?
Both nicely equipped for under $30k.

but you already have two other 4 doors for the 2 y/o.. (unless those are previous cars then ignore me)

my votes are for the mustang or the WRX. One day you're going to look back and kick yourself for buying a kia optima over a mustang GT

It is.

How I enjoy playing with manumatic and it doesn't have it. Unless you go manual. Out of traffic, I would definitely.

Oddly there is no manual Genesis Coupe Premium in the US if we believe the site. One of my guys just bought one. I don't like the front end but I can see some interest.

I do like the Charger but its a bit too "American" for my tastes. Weird I know but that's just my opinion....

Btw, went and sat in the Accord coupe EX-L V6 and it was nice but I wasn't blown away or anything. Sat in an Optima SX-L right afterward and the quality of both cars seemed on par with each other. I really love the Accord's instrument cluster (the way the gauges pop out at you) but I also love the shamelessly Audi-esque look of the entire dash design of the Optima. It's even got a push button e-brake just like the S5 I once test drove...

The G37 is in fine shape. Just over 30k miles and hasn't been to the shop in years. Just want something different...
