New car time!
With the recent EPA fuel economy issue with Kia and Hyundai...I'd hesitate with buying any of their vehicles at this moment..even if the Optima isn't in the list of affected vehicles.
...
Out of your car list, I'd pick the following (in order): used 335i, new Mustang GT, new Genesis coupe.

opps sorry about the confusion.
So..here's OP's list:
NEW
Kia Optima SX
Hyundai Sonata 2.0T
Hyundai Genesis (sedan or coupe)
Hyundai Veloster Turbo
Buick Regal GS
Ford Mustang GT
USED
2009 BMW 335i
I omitted the M3, CTS-V and S5 because the OP stated that he probably won't go with those anyway...
So, out of the remaining 7 cars, I picked 335i, then Mustang GT, and Genesis coupe in that order. The rest are 3 Hyundai's and one Buick. IMO, the Genesis coupe is the best out of the Hyundai's in that list as well as the Buick. Genesis sedan starts at $34k. Sonata & Optima are great, but then there's the new Accord and Fusion. There seems to be something wrong with Veloster turbo as the performance numbers don't quite match its power to weight ratio. Regal GS is a fine effort but I think it starts at $36k and I'd pick Genesis sedan over it anyway.
This is also why I suggested the OP to get BR-Z instead.
Hope that clears things up.
+1. The OP's list is all over the place..some of the choices are famiyl sedans...so if he's thinking about a regular family sedan, then I'd imagine fuel economy is something that the OP is considering.

Yeah, sorry for the confusion. My list is definitely all over the place as I'm not really sure at all what I want out of my next car. I really need more space and four doors thus the Optima, Regal, Accord, etc. My heart wants to go with something more sporty like the Gen coupe, Mustang GT, or 335i coupe. My wallet wants to stay under $30k thus the used options. At this point I am scouring Carmax and Autotrader and will probably jump on the first great deal I see on a car I like.
Btw, thanks for reminding me about Shoofin. Will shoot him a PM post haste!

I havent really been happy with my MS3, but mine is the first gen. its been perfectly reliable, but there's little things about it that have gotten old.
Dear lord, man you're all over the place
How about giving a budget (a firm one) and I bet we can come up with some good options that won't bore the shit out of you like a Camry/Accord would

And the winner is:
2009 Hyundai Genesis V6 sedan!
16k miles, AFS, park sensors, nav, backup camera, heat/cooled seats, sun shade, navy blue/tan
This car is absolutely stunning inside and out and looks like its never been driven. Not a bad deal for $25k. Hard to believe I get this much car for $250/mo less than my G. Pics with my D5100 to follow soon!

That's right. Been a while since I been over here. I knew somebody had said their dad was doing well with a Genesis. Anyway, still loving the car (even though my wife's first words when she saw it were "isn't that an old man's car?")!!!
