Originally he was having problems where the computer would bug out about the AWD and DSC (whatever it's called for BMW) having issues, and another thing about airbag issues a couple times. These would go away after driving it for a few seconds. Now, the battery charge lasts like 12 hours.

We'll see what happens with the dealership. I'm sure he'll need a new battery.
Maybe if he gets an XF, I can get him to give me his 535xi

S class/7/A8 is too big for him. I don't think it would even fit in our garage

It seriously sounds like the problem is what BMW told him it is - 6000 miles in a year and a half is not much use, and could cause the battery to have trouble holding a charge.

there's a S5 at my gym and MAN! I can't stop looking at it!!! It is such a piece of art! The guy never cares where he parks too... (end spots, far away spots etc. etc...).

With that kind of money, either a 2009 CTS-V, or a CPO E55 AMG. Or the CLS class from MB, but it would be a demo to get it that low in price.

of the cars listed, S5. and then the xF. the GS and RL pale in comparison to those two.

but yea....for $60k, after seeing neuronbob's thread, i'm at the CTS-V.

EDIT: i wish i had this problem. fml.

I'll vote for the S5 a third time. Was in the Audi dealer yesterday and they had one on the floor. Great looking car.

As incredible as the S5 is I just have a thing for the XF (supercharged natch). That thing in person is even hotter than the Audi IMO.....

I voted for the S5... but I gotta admit... the XF gets my attention EVERYTIME too... but still... I would rather have the S5 first.

yea same here.

other than the CTS-V, the xF is the best looking sedan i've seen on the road and turns my head everytime.

Dunno which one I would pick if it were up to me. The S5 is hot, but the XF is more rare so far, and looks more exotic
