New car advice ( yes another thread)

So I lost my TSX last wed and now need a new car. Im am looking for a car in the mid $30k.RWD or AWD preferablly. The new G sedan is at the top of my list.306 HP, RWD and 6mt, cant go wrong but my concern is first year model bugs. I was looking at the A4, IS 250, 328xi, legacy gt as well. Am I missing any other cars I should check out? Does anyone have anything to say about th above mentioned cars? My dream car is the 350Z but my insurance premiums are way too high and I refuse to pay more for my insurance then my car payment, plus I cant afford to haha. I plan on leasing btw if that makes any difference. Thanks!

328xi leases out really well.

Not sure how the lease rates on the G35 are. But those would be my two choices.

+1 .If you don't mind sharing...How did you exactly lose your TSX? and don't worry about first year bugs, warranty is there for a reason.

You're worried about G35 first year bugs, yet you're considering an Audi or BMW?

That G35 will be much more reliable over its life than the Audi or BMW, IMO.

I hydrolocked on I-95 in a bad rainstorm the tristate experienced last week. Well the BMW has full free maintinance and audi well I dont know why but I have had a fixation with audi's ever since I got into cars.

And Crazy Sellout you are absolutelly right the 328xi leases out extremelly well especially when you consider the price of the car. And the G35 isnt that bad either.

My only problem with the G35 is that it only comes in RWD for 6MT version. Will I be ok in snow/rain?

I vote for Legacy GT. Bulletproof reliability, shitload of fun to drive, AWD so you can hit the slopes without renting or borrowing a vehicle, yet still available with MT, lighter than the G35/3-series AWD, you won't look like a snob, you're invisible to the police unless you make yourself look like an idiot, you don't see 3 of them every block... I could go on. Insurance would probably be relatively low also.

I say go out and drive all of them and see what you like the most. Then, sort it out by what you can afford/what goes with your current style of living.

I have a 330xi and a 530xi-these cars are unbelievably well-built. Go drive the 328, you will not be disappointed. Second choice wld be the G.

If you're going to lease, the G35 leases for about the same as the 335i...

So if leasing, look at the 335i and not the 328i.

I'm liking the new Passat Turbo, VW has a new ground effects kit for it also that's very aggressive.

So you want to get a car with 100 more hp than the TSX....AWD isn't going to save you if you drive recklessly or carelessly in any condition.

That being said, 328xi all the way

The Legacy GT didnt impress me as much as I thought it would, the turbo lag is quite noticeable but maybe another test drive is in order.

The only problem with the 328xi/335xi is finding one in MT to test drive. I guess I have to go haggle with the dealer a bit more about the BMW since they are giving me a 328xi same price as the G. I didnt even bother asking about the 335xi but now I think I will.

And ZtotallynakedZ as cmschimie said I wasnt driving carelessly I was just trying to get to work.

I've become a BMW fanatic (thanks to Jesal) but other than that, I'd choose a Legacy GT. Absolutely a blast to drive and many people haven't had many problems with them at all.

As far as the insurance premium goes, the LGT should run cheaper than the others mentioned. Then again, insurance rates are VERY subjective.

Honestly, the Outback 2.5XT Limited is starting to grow on me a bit. I cannot imagine the insurance premiums on those being too excessive. With Navi (AT only), they sticker around $35k.
