The new Bel Rx65 radar killed V1

check the latest reviews, it suppose to be the best radar going for identifying KA and also less false alarms

I think I may try the Shawn S V1 ebay method. No radar is better than V1....You can't beat the life saving arrows.

I've had the bel rx55 for a week now and it works nice for $230. Not sure if I'm keeping it yet, mainly because of today. NJ state trooper was using instant on and I was basically in front of him when the detector went off. Think it might be more effective to keep alert while driving for now and maybe buy a detector later if my route changes or my driving increases.

Today there is no fool-proof protection against instant-on radar. Your best bet is vigilence, long-range radar detector, and someone ahead of you to follow, in that order. Not counting jammers.

No need for a radar detector if you don't drive fast, but then there is the situation when you dont know the speed limit.

You couldn’t have read TOO well….The BEL is a 3rd place unit at best.

Nearly every test or review or you read puts either the Escort 8500 or the V1 at the top.
The extra 100 bucks for the V1’s arrows is usually the argument.
Third on down is always a different unit.

And what's worse is there are no test results even mentioned.

Dean, if you get some backup feel free to start a new topic...
