The Acura general manager is my friend so
I went to test drive the new RL and he gave me the keys, he said...
It's all yours!

(I drove for for almost 1 hour!)
and he allowed me to take several pictures... the cars were still covered with plastic inside and out. (since they arrived 4 hours before)
The camera is a brand new SONY FD-828 (8MPixels , but shots were 1MP which I then reduced to 600x400 to save bandwidth)

Note: (I said the headlights didn't turn left, my error...)
The lights do turn left, but only if the car is moving and turning left,
this is to avoid blinding incoming traffic. (smart!)
they also self-level on an incline.

Thanks for the pics. The most detailed pics of interior so far. I'm starting to agree with those who think the plastic center console should really be covered by wood.

 

Any way you can take a pic of an interior with the wood steering wheel and shift knob?

I dont like the dark wood, other than that the front looks good, but the TL still looks better from the rear and side. I wish they would have focused a little more on performance. Still its a great car.

hahah yea i just got back from Acura of Riverside and they had a white RL on display. gotta take a quick look at that thing. Its pretty

 

Sorry man it doesn't. That's for the navigation system. It uses a DVD disc for the maps.

 

titanium trim looks much better than wood. lotta the wood in cars these dayz look real fake. the titanium makes it look sophisticated

 

I was at the dealer today. All the RL's have been sold out, even the freakin DEMO are gone!

I think the wheels look a little cheap for a $50,000 car. Maybe they look better in person but I would kind of expect more (although I'm sure there's some chrome option).

 

I agree! Across the board, I think Honda is very conservative with their wheel and tire design and size!

 

I wouldn't say the wheels itself is cheap, they're just too conservative. But you can always buy a nice set of rims so no biggie.

It looks like it in one of the pics, but i can't tell for sure.

 

Man that looks great. the materials and fit and finish look top notch!
