Needed room, so...

We got rid of 2 of the cars, and got one instead. Bought the 5 series a few days before Christmas, I was just to lazy to post it. Traded in a 07 Lexus GX470 and 00 MB CLK 320 cab. for a 2011 535. It's jet black/black leather, fully loaded, M appearance package, has every option BMW could offer. The car drives very well, especially in Sport and Sport+ modes. The new iDrive is a lot easier than the one on my dad's 07 750Li. Very quick, great amount of torque. Inside is pretty roomy, easily fits 4 people. Here are some pics shot with my iPhone 4.

Your parents are

Seriously, nice pickup by your parental units. So what does your mom drive now that the parents traded in two cars for one?

I LOVE THIS CAR. My dad and I fondled a gray 550i at the auto show a few days ago for a good 20 minutes. The lines on the car are stunning. The contours of the hood are really interesting. And then the interior is a work of art in itself.

Congrats on the family's new ride.

My parents are divorced. The GX and CLK were both my mom's. My dad has a 07 750Li, a Harley road king, and some custom chopper.

Eh, I won't say I didn't, but it was between this, an A6, and E350, I said this because it was most powerful. Surprisingly, all dealerships let me drive the car during the test drive along with my mom. All I had to do was show them my drivers license, they didn't even make a copy. They did make one of my mom's though.

My mom didn't want something too powerful she said. Lol, I really don't know why not, besides that. My dad now has been considering trading in his 750 for the 2011 M5's.

Lol. That sounds like my mom. She really doesn't care about cars at ALL. I'm sure the 535 is plenty. Man, that car is so rediculous. I want one now.

I think my mom is one in the minority of women out there who drives like a man. She complains to me about her GLK not being very fast. She's frightening to ride with.

I mean, she thought the E350 and A6 3.0T Quattro were too slow, so she has SOME sense of power. My mom doesn't drive too well either, she does this annoy thing and slows down 15mph every time she talks to someone in the car or on the phone, and she brakes SUPER late. Scares the shit out of me.

Haha, I'm planning on keeping my TL til it stops running, or until college graduation.

I love the new 5-series. I drove one a few months back and it was tremendously better than the last generation.

In what way? My dad who drove both said it felt a little improved, but he didn't think the feeling was much better. Just wondering since I never drove the older gen.

It's hard to explain. The older ones just felt clunky and cheap

The handling, pickup, & ride comfort is a lot better in the F10 than the E60 generation. We liked our 5 just fine, but there's a noticeable change in the way the F10 drives. They have really outdone themselves.

Nice 5 series.. I think the 535 holds its value better than the 550 as well. Almost the same power and better mpg. Sounds like a win to me.
