need thoughts on a SRT-10 Ram

okay I'm saving for a fun truck or car. Orginally I was gonna get a new S2K or 350Z or maybe IS350. something light track abilty but more or less play around car. I didn't know the SRT-10 Ram's resale dropped like a rock. I was checking them out online. I just want a "regular cab"
this is what i've concluded:
Pros:
-the torque and exhaust note of a v-10 or v-8 is sweet
-that old school probably 30 inch(and i'm not bull shitting you guys) shifter is kind of cool.
- its kind of a unique truck 500 hp for hot rodding.
Cons:
-Dodge quality isn't exactly on par with lets say Honda,Toyota or Nissan
-i've heard a clutch job in a SRT-10 Ram like 8 grand
- 10-12 mpg and MUST HAVE high test

WTF are you going to do with a ridiculous truck like that? Pull tail down at the Piggly Wiggly? Jesus Christ.

It's nothing but a hotrod. It's a brute force, in your face ride. There's almost no reason to buy one for any other reason.
With that said it's a viper drivetrain in a truck. The thing is a BEAST. I drove 1 when they 1st came out. My friend was a sales guy at a Dodge dealer. I used to take them for sprinted test drives all the time.

Test drive one. It's loud, rattles, & a lot of fun.
I do think it needs to be a little lower. So plan on that.

Are you planning on fucking your cousin or your sister in the back? If it's your cousin go ahead, if it's your sister get an El Camino, which is way classy.

Only pointing out the obvious as to what would go down...

10-12mpg? that's being generous... realistically, people that own the SRT-10 Ram don't behave well enough to keep it in that range... and if you do? then what's the purpose of owning one?
