need help with (other) car problem
Guys,
I know this is not the proper place, but i thought i'd ask, as for this weekend with the hurricane coming, all Mx shops are closed, and i can't figure out what the problem is.
A good friend owns a 02 Dodge Stratus SE (auto) with 62000miles. She was driving out from work and she felt a jump got home ok and called me to see if i knew.
Went over to see what the problem was, 1st when i started it check engine light stays on, when the car is in D it drives like its in 1st (L) gear. As you hit the gas the RPMs just go up and the car does not auto shift into 3 and then D. Its like the car is stuck in 1st gear (L), if you move the stick from D to 3, to L, (while driving) does not make a difference, RPMs are around 3000 @ 35mph , Reverse works fine and so does park.
Other than that the car drives fine. I think its a sensor gone bad.
Anyone have ideas of what it could be ?
