Need help, Koni Yellow Shocks

I recently bought used Koni Yellow Shocks from a local user, they only have 11k miles on them. I was just wondering how I can adjust the perch ring. I have done some research over the internet, but some say you can just use your fingers to take the ring out and some say you have to hammer the ring out...

It would be great help because the rear of my car is sitting way tooooooooo low with the lowest perch setting, I just want to raise it up to the middle perch.

Thanks much!

You need to take the shock out to adjust it.

Ohh, well I remember when I held the shocks in my hand the ring was pretty easy to adjust by hand, you just need to twist it in some special way.

Just use a large flat head screw driver to spread the ring's gap and move it up by hand. It's easy, trust me.

No. The rings are very well made. Think about it; those tiny rings are what hold your car's weight against the suspension. If they easily break, Koni owners would have been in accidents left and right.

You have to take the shock out to adjust the height, but you don't need to take them out to adjust the stiffness.

Thanks a lot guys, took a lot off my mind.
