Need experienced help with a 335I Purchase!

Guys, I saw loaded 07 335I auto for sale. It is priced at 23,880. I carfaxed it, and it shows that a previous owner had it lemon lawed in cali right after replacing the steering wheel. BMW bought it back from the owner, and the dmv branded it. The dealership then bought the title, and sold it at an auction. This luxury car joint in chicago bought the car. The car is in perfect working order. The owner must have lemoned it after bringing it back for the same problem in cali. I want to purchase this car for not more than 17G. Is this an ok price? considering its been lemon lawed, It will probably affect me if I try to sell in the future. The car is immaculate with 43K miles. What do you guys think?

I'd be cautious about touching any car that has been lemon lawed, in particular one that could be expensive to repair if you are not capable of diagnosing and repairing yourself, and even then parts can be expensive. If you are not a BMW tech, I wouldn't do it.

STAY THR F*** AWAY...

I owned a BMW that was "lemon lawed" (in canada, called something different, can't remember).

Anyhoo - I had SO MANY issues after the first 6 months or so. I had the car for 18 months and spent $10G's in fixing it.

Tranny
Power steering pump
sunroof headliner
lights flickering
when cabin too hot, no power door locks
ball joints (ARE YOU SERIOUS? There was 100K km's on it!!!)
and many more...

That's when I bought my '03 TL and more recently traded it in for my '06 TL.

Stay Japanese, your wallet will thank you.

Steer clear. Look for a CPO 330i or an E46 330i for the money.
