Need Advice for Car under $11,000.

Im in the market for a used fun tuner car to play with. Something under 11g's would be nice. Must be quick, light, and somewhat eyepleasing. Its going to be a all purpose car, as in drag, highwaypulls and circuit capable. Heres what i have came up with so far:
240sx with 2JZ swap - Light, GOOD motor.
MKIII with 1JZ - Heavy and not so good hadling?
Honda EG with H22- FWD, and Honda Haters.
SC300- Nice Interior, but heavy.

Any others?
Im trying to stay away from Rotary motors. So far Im leaning towards the 240sx with 2JZ. Advice would be great. Thanks.

Or how about a Miata with a 5.0 swap AND a supercharger

My personal favorite is a Ford Pinto with the 2.3L Merkur turbo motor... RWD, about 2200 lbs... 10 seconds for about $7K...

Like he said, but wait untill you you have your first accident before going out and getting something you may want to really sup up. 14 is really young to be thinking about this kind of thing. I just wanted to drive at 14, let alone thinking of racing. Can you drive by your self at 14?

14!? wtf...

your parents are gonna get you a busted ass civic just like mine did to me

your not even old enough to work...

if you want a fast car with minimal costs go look for a LT1 Camaro / 5.0 Mustang with some saved cash there more then plenty of power. American muscle car V8's are a little more forgiving for the beginner enthusiast then any of the motor swap turbo 2jz h22 what nots you have in mind.

if i had the money...

1. BMW 3er w/ E36 M3 engine swap

2. S14 240SX w/ RB26 swap and a hot set of Volks

3. CRX w/ a B-Series swap [current project of mine]

4. EG/EK w/ an H or K swap

I have a lot of experience with the CRX swaps. I've owned an HF and Si and have swapped before (simple D to D swap, busted the timing belt). There is no denying the fact that the CRX is pure fun NO power steering, light as hell, extremely underpowered from the factory and there is no turn it cant take despite being FWD. Before I sold my POS HF, buddies of mine who own RX-8s, STis, and 300zxs took it out for a spin. I got offers from all 3 for as high as $500 for a car I paid $360 for. I sold it for $850.

You can find a mint CRX depending on where you live for $3,000 MAX! The swap itself will cost about $4,000, and simple auto-x prep parts like coilovers, an exhaust for the new engine, a short shifter, tire/wheel combo, etc will cost around $3,000 if done very well.

Depends on what you want. My next project will be turbo just because I'm almost done with my CRX.

Yeah seriously...you need to have more driving experience under your belt beore you try anything like this. Get yourself something nice if you want, but nothing too high powered and get a good feel for it first. Then step up. My first car was a b-15 '91 civic dx that my friends lovingly dubbed "The Piece". The thing had a freakin 4-speed manual . Anyway I was able to take down b-18 integras because I really learned how to drive it. Although I outgrew street racing a long time ago I can still drive better and get more out of a car than any of my friends. If you get something fast to begin with you'll not only risk wrapping yourself around a tree or a minivan full of innocent children, but you'll also rely on more horsepower as a crutch to go faster. Anyway, get something slow to start and for God's sake keep it on the track. I've know a couple people who died from street racing. None of them were old enough to die and neither are you.

thats actually a dumb swap..unless you can find a e36 chassis for cheap....for the a,ount of money it would cost to swap a s52 engine you might as well just buya damn m3

i have a 89 CRX dx and i love that little thing...its got a shitty d15b in it but its still torquey and handles great despite its bald tires...its such a responsive and peppy car

i see you're not 15 anymore.. anyways doesnt help the case, get a used civic and learn to drive with that. when you're confident with that, get a beater rwd car to learn rwd handling and then move up to a more powered car.

ive been driving fwd ever since i learned to drive at 16yrs old and once i started driving rwd this year its sooo much different in handling.

LOL... Didn't notice the age. I'm in agreement get a simple car not too fast. We don't want to see you on the pavment. A young person + speed don't go well.

For 11 grand you can have a 2000 fbody and put a stall, headers, intake, cam and tune and have a 10-11 second street car.
